Polk County, Florida — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office served two search warrants at two different addresses on October 10, 2013, ending in the arrests of two men.

The first search warrant was served at 141 Fernery Road Apt D7, Lakeland. Deputies developed information that someone at the residence offered to share child pornography via the Internet. 52-year-old Victor Signs Jr., told deputies he uses software to download videos from other people and that he is the only one who uses the computer in the residence. When asked about downloading child pornography, Signs Jr., denied downloading any and then requested an attorney.

According to deputies, while inside the home a preview was conducted of Signs Jr’s computer and one video file of child pornography was located involving a young female child (4-5 years old) who was depicted nude and displayed in a lewd manner. Also located were multiple images of child erotica and animated child pornography. A full forensic examination will be completed to determine whether multiple files on his computer are child pornography. Signs Jr. was arrested for one count of Possession of Material Depicting Sexual Conduct by a Child.

The second search warrant was served at 2446 Riverwood Drive, Mulberry. 36-year-old Christopher Bearden was located at the residence at the time of the search warrant. Bearden told detectives that he “unintentionally downloaded” child pornography. He also made statements to detectives implying that viewing child pornography was a victimless crime because the files were simply available on the Internet and he did not believe the children were being “hurt” in the videos. Bearden told detectives that there were likely 100 files of child pornography that would be located on his computer.

According to reports, a preview of Bearden’s computer was conducted inside the home, which yielded 40 video files depicting sexual conduct by a child between the ages of 5 and 13. Bearden was charged with three counts of Possession with Intent to Promote Material Depicting Sexual Conduct by a Child and 40 counts of Possession of Material Depicting Sexual Conduct by a Child. He was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

These are two more suspects who have not heeded our warning; if you are a part of the child pornography pipeline that has contributed to the victimization and traumatization of thousands of children around the world, we will catch you, and you will go to jail,” said Sheriff Grady Judd. Adding, “We have no tolerance for child pornographers in Polk County, period.

Both men could face additional charges after a full forensic analysis is conducted on their computers.

Tavis Johnson, marion county, ocala, ocala news, ocala post, OP
    Tavis Jamain Johnson [Mugshot]

Ocala, Florida When Deputy David Grantham was dispatched to a domestic disturbance call in the 5500 block of SW 129 Place Road, he was met by a female with tears rolling down her cheeks.

She told Deputy Grantham after she returned home from working the night shift, Tavis Jamain Johnson, 30, woke her because he was upset about a Facebook post.

The victim told the deputy she and Johnson argued, and then Johnson grabbed her by her arms and pushed her up against the wall.

The victim told the deputy she tried to get away, but Johnson threw her to the floor causing the back of her head to slam onto the floor.

The victim stated Johnson continued to slap and hit her in the head and chest area until she was able to break free.

According to the victim, after she broke free, she noticed a garbage truck passing by, so she ran outside to ask the men for help.

The victim told the deputy she and Johnson have lived together as a family for 12 years and have six children in common. According to the deputy, two of the children witnessed the abuse.

Deputy Grantham reported while he was interviewing the victim, one of the children, 3, tugged on his pants and said, “Daddy was hurting Mommy.”

According to reports, the victim had bruising starting to form on the inside of her arms and lower legs. She also had swelling and redness to her cheeks as well as an abrasion on her left breast area.

Deputy Grantham stated that as he was finishing his interview, Johnson actually called the residence. The deputy spoke with Johnson who informed the deputy he had fled, hitched a ride, and was in route to Tampa. He refused to give the deputy his exact location.

According to the deputy, when Johnson was asked what happened he said he [Johnson] and the victim argued. The deputy then asked how she got her injuries and Johnson replied, I must have scratched her because I have long fingernails. When the deputy asked why he even put his hands on her at all he replied, “I guess I shouldn’t have.” Johnson then hung up on the deputy.

The men driving the garbage trucked confirmed that the victim did in fact run outside naked from the waist down and asking for help. The men stated that the victim told them Johnson was beating her and she needed help. The garbage men who were in the right place at the right time called 911 saving the victim from further trauma.

Johnson was convicted in April of 2008, and served seven months in the Marion County Jail for Domestic Battery Touch or Strike.

Upon Johnson’s release, he was arrested again for driving on a suspended license, which violated his probation.

Tavis Johnson charged with Felony Battery and booked into the Marion County Jail. He was released Tuesday night on a $2,000 bond.

He was caught after returning to his residence.

It is unclear what was written in the Facebook post.

“Dear John” A Prostitution Warning From Sanford Police

    0

sanford police, dear hohn, prostitution, ocala, ocala news, ocala post, OPStarting this week, the registered owners of vehicles spotted lingering in areas with known prostitutes, will receive a Community Safety Letter from the Sanford Police Department. The letter will serve as a warning that someone is watching them and that prostitution is unacceptable in the community.

Men, if you are married your wife may not appreciate checking the mail and finding a letter warning that picking up prostitutes is illegal.

Letters will only be generated when an officer is sure the driver is not lost but, in fact, circling the block looking for a prostitute.

The goal of this program is to act as a deterrent and reduce the demand for prostitution, by stripping away the anonymity of the exchange. “Cracking down on prostitution is an important step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of our community,” said Chief Smith.

The letter will read as follows:

The Sanford Community, in conjunction with the Sanford Police Department, is committed to improving the safety and security of the communities and streets within the City of Sanford. Numerous residents and business people have expressed their concerns regarding street prostitution in their neighborhoods. This community safety letter is our way of informing you of the important initiative underway within this neighborhood and to seek your support.

There is a clear correlation between street prostitution and drug use, including crack cocaine, as well as a variety of health concerns including H.I.V and Hepatitis. Community members, including their children, are frequently finding used needles and condoms in playgrounds and public areas. The increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic has a direct effect on the quality of life for the community and we need your help to improve this community.

In order to maximize the efforts of community leaders in securing safe streets for their children, the Sanford Police Department kindly asks that you help the members of these communities. You can do your part by refraining from bringing your vehicle into this area unnecessarily. The Sanford Police Department applauds the efforts of this neighborhood in attempting to make it a safe community for its families and children. On their behalf, we welcome your support for this important community safety initiative.

If you have any questions, you may consult the Sanford Police Department website

(www.sanfordfl.gov) or you may call me directly at 407-688-5070. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.

We want to hear from you. How do you feel about this form of community service that is being provided? What would a wife do if she were to open a letter of this nature?

Corrections Officers Richard Smith and Dustin Lay arrested

Marion county jail, ocala, ocala news, ocala post, OP, marion countyOn October 1, 2013, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Special Investigations began looking into a case involving an incident concerning Marion County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Officers Richard C. Smith, 51, and Dustin Allen Lay,32, who were employed at the Marion County Jail. Smith was hired August of 2007 and Lay was hired December of 2009.

Investigators examined evidence related to the allegation that Smith and Lay used excessive force against Donald Kizzart, currently an inmate at the Marion County Jail. Investigators developed evidence that showed Smith and Lay hit inmate Kizzart numerous times with their fists.

This incident occurred Monday, September 30, 2013 in the jail’s medical pod. Both Corrections Officers were relieved of duty pending the criminal investigation. Investigators sent a completed case report to the State Attorney’s Office. The report was reviewed and ultimately arrest warrants were issued for Smith and Lay.

There is no excuse and that’s why we took appropriate measures and presented our criminal investigation to the State Attorney,” said Marion County Sheriff Chris Blair. Adding, “Actions of this type will not be tolerated.”

Smith and Lay turned themselves in and were booked into the Marion County Jail, each on one count of Simple Battery.

Both Richard Smith and Dustin Lay have exemplary records and have never received any type of disciplinary actions.

Records show they both previously worked at Lowell Correctional Facility, and while they were employed at Lowell they both had perfect records as well.

They have both been suspended without pay pending an internal investigation.

    Craigslist scams on the rise

craigslist, ocala, ocala post, ocala news
    Craigslist Scams

If you are someone that enjoys the ease of advertising items for sale on Craigslist you should be aware of the possible scams that are lurking involving prospective buyers of your merchandise. The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office has been experiencing an increase of reported fraudulent activity through Craigslist ads.

    The scam works as follows:

    • A Craigslist ad is posted by the seller which provides a description of the property to be sold as well as a selling price.
    • A correspondence is initiated by a prospective buyer via email from what appears to be a valid email account. In most cases the purchaser makes some kind of excuse for not being able to talk to the seller via phone or in person and requests the correspondence to continue via email.
    • The purchaser states that they do not live in the area and that if the seller would be willing to ship the items, they will cover the cost of shipping.
    • The purchaser will then mail a check to the seller for an amount of money which is much more than the advertised price and shipping combined. The purchaser has included instructions with the check asking the seller to send back the remainder of the balance.

In two of the cases, fraudulent checks from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania were received by sellers for the amount of $2,475. In one of these cases the listed merchandise was only $200. Contact was made with the accounting department at Lycoming College who was aware of the fraudulent check scam. They were advised the cases were mostly generated through Craigslist ads and are occurring across the country and not only in Florida. Lycoming College has made their financial institution aware of the scam.

Other cases involve the same methods, but the checks received by the sellers were from:

    • Iowa State University: $400 item on Craigslist = Received check for $1,950.27 drawn from Bankers Trust Co.
    • New York Power Authority: $600 item on Craigslist = Received Check for $2,780.99 drawn from Chase Bank.

In all of these cases so far, sellers from Citrus County have tried to validate the checks prior to shipping any items which has resulted in zero losses. Authorities are concerned that citizens may be inclined to ship items to buyers upon receiving payments before realizing the checks are fraudulent. With fraud cases like these, the jurisdiction for prosecution lies outside of Citrus County and authorities can only provide an assistance report to the agencies covering the financial institutions and their customers.

Individuals who are selling on Craigslist are advised that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you feel that you have had a similar experience, please contact the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office at 352-726-4488 or your local law enforcement agency.

Carlee Moore cooked meth with her 6-Year-Old present

Carlee Moore, ocala post, ocala news, ocala, OP, Meth
Carlee Moore arrested for cooking Meth in front of her 6-year-old

Deltona, Florida — Over the weekend, a tip led Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies to a house in Deltona where methamphetamine was being cooked in the presence of a 6-year-old child.

Investigators spent several hours clearing out the highly dangerous chemicals found inside the residence located at 2555 Doyle Road, the home of 31-year-old Carlee Moore and her mother.

According to reports, deputies were dispatched to the house shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday after a tipster reported that Moore was cooking meth inside the home.

When deputies arrived, Moore and her mother denied the accusations and the mother, who owns the home, even said that she wanted to file a complaint against the tipster for harassing them.

The two women then invited deputies into the house when they asked to look around so that they could close out the drug allegation if it wasn’t true. But rather than dispelling the complaint, the search turned up a wide assortment of meth-making materials, including bottles of liquid petroleum fuel, coffee filters, a container of salt, drain opener, an electric grinder, a lithium battery and numerous soda bottles coated inside with white residue. Deputies also located a small amount of marijuana and a plastic bottle containing approximately 65 grams of meth oil. Most of the materials were found inside of Moore’s bedroom, while some were found on the ground outside of her bedroom window, according to authorities.

After the house was evacuated, investigators with the Clandestine Laboratory Response Team entered the residence to safely remove all of the materials. The child, who was asleep on the living room couch when deputies first arrived, was turned over to the custody of his father.

Moore was arrested on criminal charges that included Trafficking in Methamphetamines, Manufacturing Methamphetamines with a Child Present, Possession of Marijuana under 20 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Two middle school students arrested for 12-year-old Rebecca Sedwick’s suicide

    Guadalupe Shaw Katelyn Roman

Polk County, Florida — On Monday, October 14, 2013, Polk County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives arrested and charged two middle school students as a result of numerous interviews conducted by PCSO detectives who are investigating the suicide of 12-year-old Rebecca Sedwick of Lakeland that occurred on September 10, 2013.

According to reports, from December 2012 to February 2013, 12-year-old Katelyn Roman and 14-year-old Guadalupe Shaw repeatedly and maliciously harassed Rebecca Sedwick. At the time, all three girls attended Crystal Lake Middle School. Several students corroborated stories of both girls bullying Sedwick on different occasions, through name-calling, intimidation, threats to beat her up, and at least one actual physical fight.

In December of 2012, Sedwick was hospitalized after she cut her own wrists as a result of the bullying, according to Sheriff Judd.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the arrests of the girls were hastened when, on Saturday, Guadalupe Shaw posted on Facebook writing, “I bullied Rebecca but I don’t give a F***k.”

“Time may not be the best trainer here. We’ve got the change this behavior of these children,” said Sheriff Judd. “We decided that we can’t leave her (Guadalupe Shaw) out there. Who else is she going to torment? Who else is she going to harass?”

Shaw’s father denies his daughter did anything wrong, however, neighbors said Shaw plays rough with others and is always left unattended.

Sheriff Judd said, “If we can find any charges to bring against the parents, we will.”

Rebecca Sedwick, ocala, ocala post, ocala news, polk county, OP
    Rebecca Sedwick 12-years-old

According to witnesses, including a boyfriend of Shaw’s who had previously been Rebecca’s boyfriend, Shaw had several arguments with Rebecca via Facebook, as well as verbal confrontations at school. During the incidents, Rebecca was observed walking away from Shaw and not engaging, leading witnesses to determine that Rebecca was being bullied by Shaw. Shaw also reportedly bullied anyone who was friends with Rebecca. For this reason, some children did not want to be friends with Rebecca, out of fear of being bullied by Shaw.

Witnesses reported that Shaw sent messages to Rebecca, calling her ugly, telling her to drink bleach and die, and telling Rebecca that she should kill herself. Authorities said they have undeniable proof that Shaw tried to instigate physical fights with Rebecca on more than one occasion.

Shaw also instigated fights between Roman and Rebecca. Roman was friends with Rebecca until Shaw convinced Roman to stop being friends with her. Roman was suspended for one fight that occurred in February 2013, during which Shaw encouraged Roman to “beat up” Rebecca. Rebecca did not fight back.

In a recent interview with detectives, Roman admitted that she “bullied” Rebecca and that she was sorry for doing it. Shaw and Roman were arrested Monday evening, October 14, 2013, and booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center for Felony Aggravated Stalking. They were released from the JAC the same evening, into their respective parents’ custody. They remain on home detention.

If convicted, it’s not clear how much time, if any at all, the girls would spend in juvenile detention because they did not have any previous criminal history, Sheriff Judd said.

    [UPDATED October 15, 2013, at 4:58 p.m.]

Both Guadalupe Shaw and Katelyn Roman had first appearance hearings in front of a circuit judge today – October 15, 2013. The judge remanded Guadalupe Shaw into custody pending further juvenile proceedings. Katelyn Roman was released back into her parent’s custody, per the judge, due to her remorse and cooperation. She is on home detention and not allowed to attend school.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this case.

Sheriff Judd reports that the website Ask.fm, a website responsible for the suicide of at least three other teens in the past one to two years, is not cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office. Ask.fm is not located in the United States. All of the major evidence needed to prosecute this case is on the servers of Ask.fm. Sheriff Judd said many of the posts are very disturbing.

During a phone interview, Ask.FM founder Mark Terebin said, “I do not care if American children kill themselves so as long as my revenue continues to “roll in.” This is not the first time Terebin has expressed his feeling about American children that are bullied on his website.

Donations for Rebecca’s family are now closed.

Nancy Aguilar, Salvador Aguilar, Idalberto Arias, miami, ocala, ocala news, ocala post

Miami, Florida — Residents in Collier and Miami-Dade Counties can rest a little easier tonight after six people were arrested in connection with a string of burglaries.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement spent a year and a half investigating more than 30 burglaries that were occurring during the day in upscale neighborhoods in South Florida.

The investigation showed that the owner of Treasure Chest Jewelers, Nancy Aguilar, 42, her husband, Salvador Aguilar, 38, and her brother, Idalberto Arias, 41, all from Miami, organized a burglary ring for the purpose of stealing jewelry and cash. Treasure Chest Jewelers is a pawn shop located at 9720 Southwest 24th Street in Miami, Florida.

Investigators believe Treasure Chest Jewelers profited at least $2.1 million dollars by selling the stolen jewelry to be melted down. The group apparently used expensive vehicles to blend in to wealthy neighborhoods, primarily in Miami, Miami beach, and Naples; committing burglaries in broad daylight.

Families that had their jewelry stolen say insurance claims mean nothing because family heirlooms can never be replaced. Residents are glad to see the thieves behind bars.

FDLE was assisted in the investigation by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Naples, Miami-dade, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, and Doral Police Departments.

Nancy and Salvatore Aguilar, along with Idalberto Arias were arrested on charges of Racketeering, Conspiracy to Commit Racketeering, Money Laundering, Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering, Managing or Dealing in Stolen Property and Conspiracy to Deal in Stolen property. Arias was also charged with Conspiracy to Commit burglary of a Dwelling.

Enrique Pena, 38, Cindy Reyes, 24, and Denisse Diaz, 28, also from Miami were arrested on charges of Racketeering, Conspiracy to Commit Racketeering and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary of a Dwelling.

Pena was also charged with Managing or Dealing in Stolen Property and conspiracy to Deal in Stolen Property. Reyes and Diaz face additional charges of Conspiracy to Deal in Stolen Property.

They were all booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Ocala, Florida — On October 6, 2013 the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Bloomington, Indiana Police. Deputy Zackary Hughes was the point of contact.

The threat post by Rogers was directed towards his father.

The post was written as follows:

The father told authorities he was informed about the post by another family member, and that he was able to read it. The father says he has a history with his son and felt the threat by his son could have been carried out although he (the father) lives in Indiana and his son lives in Ocala.

Deputy Zackary Hughes located Rogers at 12188 NW 7th Place. Rogers admitted to writing the post on Facebook via his phone.

Rogers told Deputy Hughes he was not trying to make contact with his father, but he was trying to vent and let his other family members know how he felt.

Rogers is a convicted felon and cannot posses a firearm.

Rogers told Deputy Hughes he didn’t have the money to purchase the weapon or ammunition mentioned in the Facebook post. Rogers also stated that he has not spoken to his father for over a year.

UPDATE: Norovirus Confirmed October 9, 2013 Marion County

Norovirus outbreak, ocala news, ocala, ocala post,
Norovirus outbreak Health Alert Marion County

Marion County, FloridaThe Florida Department of Health in Marion County determined on October 9, 2013 that Norovirus is the cause of a recent outbreak of gastrointestinal illness at East Marion Elementary School.

The Department wants residents to be aware of the symptoms of the illness, and take precautions to prevent contracting gastrointestinal illness from Norovirus. The virus is very contagious and can be transmitted person to person, as well as through contaminated water, food or surfaces.

This is the time of year when Norovirus often spreads around our communities,” said Amy Reilly, who supervises communicable disease prevention programs at the Florida Department of Health in Marion County.

Frequent hand-washing, especially before preparing food and after using the toilet or changing a child’s diaper, is the most effective means of preventing the spread of norovirus and other communicable diseases. Other important preventive measures include practicing proper food handling and preparation methods and disinfecting surfaces.

Norovirus may cause gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramping. Sometimes people may also have a fever, chills, muscle aches, headache, and an overall feeling of being tired. For most people, the symptoms only last for 24 to 48 hours.

Norovirus illness can be serious in young children, the elderly, and people with other health conditions; it can lead to severe dehydration, hospitalization, and even death.

The virus is very uncomfortable, and a person can quickly become dehydrated. While there is no treatment for Norovirus, it is recommended that infected persons get plenty of rest and consume extra liquids to avoid dehydration. People with symptoms of Norovirus should stay home while ill and until at least 24 hours after the last symptoms have passed to avoid the spread of the virus. The virus is very contagious and easily spread.

In addition, people who are infected with Norovirus should not prepare food for others or work in sensitive environments such as child care, schools, food service, or health care facilities while they have symptoms and for at least three days after they have recovered.

The only way we are going to stop this outbreak at East Marion Elementary School is through a community effort,” said Reilly. Adding, “We need to work together to keep kids and staff home until long after symptoms have stopped. Whether the symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, fever or a stomach ache, people need to wait until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours, or the outbreak may continue.”

On October 9, 2013, an additional 35 students were sent home in addition to several staff members being absent.

More than 300 students were absent on October 3, 2013, and more than 200 on October 7, 2013.

In 2012 nearly 800 people died as a result of the Norovirus.

Orlando, Florida — Around 7 p.m. on October 9, 2013, 12 people found themselves stuck in a vertical position on the ‘Rip Ride Rockit’ roller coaster at Universal Studios. The riders were stuck in the vertical position for over two hours.

A spokesperson for Universal said that a technical malfunction caused the roller coasters emergency brake system to engage, bringing the roller coaster to a dead stop.

Orange County Firefighters performed an emergency rescue of the riders. The firefighters had to remove the riders one by one, with extreme caution due to the danger of being 167 feet in the air, in a vertical position.

On September 30, 2013, the Central Florida HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) task force arrested six suspects and seized approximately 19 pounds of Methamphetamine in the Fort Meade area.

Timothy Dacey Of Summerfield Arrested Says It’s Child’s Fault

    1

    Timothy Dacey [Mugshot]
Summerfield, Florida — A Summerfield man molested a 5-year-old boy, but says it was the child’s fault.

The Marion county Sheriff’s Office received a report on September 27, 2013, stating that Timothy Robert Dacey, 68, had sexually molested a child at his home in Summerfield.

The boy had told someone that Dacey touched him with his “pee-pee” on the chest and face. That person then contacted authorities.

The child was taken to Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection on October 1, 2013, to be interviewed.

During the interview the boy described occasions where Dacey would ask if they could rub their penises together. The juvenile also advised that Dacey would show him pornographic materials.

Authorities conducted an interview with Dacey at his residence on October 1, 2013, during which he denied all allegations and suggested that the accusation involving pornographic material may have stemmed from an incident where he was flipping through channels and a naked female was shown on HBO. He stated that he immediately changed the channel. He denied any other occasions wherein the boy would have been exposed to pornographic materials.

Dacey also denied ever touching the boy in a sexual manner and said that he had no idea where he would come up with these allegations.

According to reports, a search of Dacey’s phone and computer rendered negative results for any searches or downloads from a pornographic site. He was offered a polygraph test which he agreed to and responded to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on October 7, 2013.

After being read his Miranda rights, in the pre-interview process the defendant advised Special Agent Jeremy Jordan that a few times while he and the boy were playing, the boy accidentally touched him on his penis and “it just went from there.”

Dacey stated that it was mostly his fault; however it seemed to him that it was also the fault of the child.

He went on to explain that the boy had seen him naked before while he was changing clothes. He added that the boy just looked and left. Dacey said that the naked incident happened “before anything else.”

He described an incident where he and the boy were playing and the boy was stuffing dog toys down his (Dacey) pants; at which time the boy “swatted” his penis and Dacey told him, “No, you shouldn’t do that,” adding that he then removed the dog toys from his pants and “put it up.”

Dacey described a different day when they started playing and the boy asked to be tickled. Dacey told authorities that he tickled the boy and the child would get on the top of the couch and jump off onto him, “a few times while doing so he touched my privates”, said Dacey.

“He kinda squeezed it,” said Dacey. He said at that point he didn’t know if he should say anything, so he did not and it “lead to other things.”

SSA Jordan confronted Dacey and told him he felt there was more to the story, and after what appeared to be deep thought, Dacey admitted that he had not told the whole story, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

He then continued to say, “I know it shouldn’t have happened, but it did and it seemed like he knew more than he should have.”

Dacey said he was at a point where he was more relaxed and if it was going to happen then he was willing to let it happen. He advised SSA Jordan that the boy reached inside his pants and grabbed his penis and that led to “touchy touchy” both ways.

He also stated that the two of them ended up with their pants down and admitted to touching the boy’s penis and instructing him to touch his as well.

When asked about touching the child on the chest with his penis, he explained that the boy jumped forward and slid down him and that’s how his penis touched the boy’s stomach. He told authorities the encounter lasted about 10 to 15 minutes and then he “called it quits” because it started bothering him.

He confessed to having an erection during these actions and says he told the victim not to tell anyone because they would get into trouble.

Dacey denies being under the influence of any type of drug or alcohol during this incident.

It is still unknown at this time as to how Dacey knew his victim.

He was arrested and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation and is currently in the Marion County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

Capitol suspect Miriam Carey, schizophrenic – sisters try to cover it up

Police surround Miriam Carey’s black Infinity after she is shot.

Miriam Carey’s family is blaming postpartum depression on her actions that led to her shooting death on October 3, 2013.

Miriam Carey, 34, was killed October 3, 2013 after a car chase from the White House to the Capitol with her baby in the back seat. Police say she rammed a metal barricade at the White House with her black Infiniti, and a video shows Carey driving erratically as well as ramming police cars and putting officers and civilians in danger. Carey was ordered to stop and exit the vehicle multiple times, however she refused to comply.

    Miriam Carey’s Black Infinity

Miriam’s sisters, Valerie Carey and Amy Carey-Jones are claiming Miriam suffered from postpartum depression and according to reports the sisters are using it as an excuse to justify Miriam’s actions.

Michael McCaul, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, stated that there is documentation that indicates Miriam was a paranoid schizophrenic and being treated for psychosis; hence Miriam’s delusions that Obama was stalking her and had her apartment bugged. Miriam’s boyfriend corroborated with Homeland Security, stating she did think her apartment was under surveillance by Obama.

Authorities say that the sisters have turned this into some sort of conspiracy theory, by attempting to dispute every claim that their sister was schizophrenic.

Authorities point out the fact that Miriam drove over 200 miles from her home to the White House, stating Miriam clearly had ill will.

    Patrol car totaled during chase

Police Chief Cathy Lanier told reporters, “This was no accident.”

The sisters say police over reacted and they should have given her a chance to get out of the car. The sisters claim Miriam was fleeing, ramming barricades and patrol cars because she was scared of the police.

The sisters have hired an attorney to represent them in their sisters death. The attorney told reporters that Miriam had just as much right to be at the Capitol as anyone did. The attorney said regardless if her intentions were unknown, she didn’t fit the profile of a terrorist. The sisters and the attorney say they put the blame on the police and the government.

Police say they did not know the woman’s intentions, they didn’t know her personally, and it would be irresponsible to wait to find out, especially had she had a bomb strapped to her chest. Experts say terrorists can come is all forms and America should realize that after the Fort Hood Shooting in Texas. Nidal Malik Hasan was an U.S. Army soldier turned Muslim Terrorist.

Authorities say the fact still remains that much of the incident was caught on video and Miriam did in fact attempt to breach security no matter how you look at it.

The D.C. Mayor and Police Chief have both stated in multiple press conferences that “the officers did an outstanding job and the situation was handled very professionally.”

The sisters continue to deny that Miriam was mentally unstable and want their attorney to look into the case.

Police reports obtained on Friday show that mental health documents were discovered and removed from Miriam’s home during the search. The police report confirms Miriam was being treated for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe depression. Her list of medications were Risperidone, Escitalopram, and Lexapro. Miriam’s boyfriend told police that she had started tapering off her medications.

Residents of D.C. have expressed some feelings of concern that the sisters may be out to make money off of Miriam’s death.

Ocala, Florida — On October 6, 2013 a detective with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Investigations Unit responded to the Love’s Truck Stop located at 7791 NW 47th Avenue in reference to a robbery call.

Upon arrival, the detective made contact with Deputy Wright who told the detective that a robbery involving a large amount of cash had taken place.

During the robbery, the store manager (victim) was struck by the suspect as he sat in the cash office counting money for the shift change.

The manager told the detective that one of his employees, Andre Pettiford, 19, came in to talk to him about what work needed to be completed so he (Pettiford) could go home for the evening. The manager stated that after brief conversation, Pettiford opened the door to the management office and a male wearing a dark hoodie and a mask who was holding a rifle came into the office.

The manager stated that the unknown male walked right past Pettiford , pointed the rifle at him (The Manager) and told him to give him the money. The manager stated that the unknown male suspect tried to hit him with the rifle but he pushed the weapon away, the unknown male then punched him in the face knocking him out of his chair. The manager stated that is when Pettiford said, “just give him the money”, referring to the unknown male. The manager told the detective that the unknown male had a large dark duffel bag that he was forced to place the money into. The manager stated that the unknown male then exited the office and the store.

After speaking with the manager, the detective then questioned Pettiford about the robbery. Pettiford told the detective that he went into the cash office to ask the manager what he needed to do before going home. After a brief conversation Pettiford said he began to exit the cash office and was “rushed” by an unknown black male who entered the business office while pointing a rifle at him. According to reports, Pettiford stated that he told the manager to give the robber the money because it wasn’t “worth it”. Pettiford said it was at that time he and manager loaded the money into the duffel bag.

Pettiford was then interviewed by Detective Hoppel. Hoppel asked Pettiford about his accounts of the robbery, and it was at that time Pettiford told Hoppel he wanted to be honest about the robbery.

Detective Hoppel then read Pettiford his Miranda Rights, and he signed a waiver of rights before Hoppel proceeded with questioning.

Pettiford told Hoppel that he had actually planned the robbery with someone known as “C-Dub”. Pettiford told Hoppel he texted “C-Dub” the words “we are dead” when the coast was clear. Pettiford said he was going to get $1,000 for his part in the robbery, and claims he did not know a gun was going to be used during the robbery.

The second suspect was later identified as Luis Maysonet, 22, of Ocala. Maysonet was captured and arrested on Monday, October 7, 2013 around 3 p.m.

Maysonet has been identified as the mastermind in the planning of the robbery.

Both Pettiford and Maysonet are now in the Marion County Jail charged with Robbery With a Firearm.

ABC Kidz Daycare worker arrested for rape

    Heather Koon James Osborne

Loraine County, Ohio — When police in Ohio were serving a search warrant on a home, they found a lot more than they bargained for.

Police in Loraine County, Ohio arrived at a residence to execute a search warrant after the October 2, 2013, arrest of James Osborne, a Tier II Child Victim Sex Offender, who was arrested for Failing to Notify a Change of Address and Tampering with Records.

Upon searching the home, police found a laptop computer which belonged to Osborne’s girlfriend, 25-year-old Heather Koon. Authorities confiscated the laptop and performed a search of its contents; police said what they found was enough to make anyone sick.

Koon, who worked at the daycare center, ABC Kidz Childcare, in Elyria, Ohio, had a video file, which was a recording of her raping an infant.

The identity of the infant had to be determined via footage from the video and still photos by the child’s father, whose name has been withheld to protect the family.

The father told a local news station, “I still haven’t wrapped my head around it. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare.”

ABC Kidz tried to down-play the incident, they even went as far as trying to plead with the family of the victim. Reports state that ABC called the parents of the victim and asked them to keep the incident discreet, citing it was just a simple assault.

The father’s baby was not the only victim to be raped at ABC Kidz; after beginning their investigation, the police were able to identify a second victim of Koon’s.

Officials say if a child is old enough to talk, parents should talk to them if they have been victimized. If the child cannot talk, parents should take them to a physician immediately if foul play is suspected.

Koon is currently facing two counts of rape; however, that number might rise as authorities say the investigation is just beginning.

Ocala Post reached out to ABC Kidz, but they declined our request for a comment.

James Osborne and Heather Koon are both being held in the Lorain County Jail.
