UPDATE Howard Darden Found In North Carolina

The alert for Howard Darden, 11, and Angela Darden the mother has been called off. Both were found safe in North Carolina, said Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies say someone watching the news reported their location. Angela’s yellow Volkswagen had been painted black.

Angela Darden had taken the boy from Piedmont Lakes Middle School at 9:45 a.m. on August 27, 2013, without the father’s permission.

Angela Darden, 45, lost her custody battle after she failed to show up to the hearing.

She was being monitored by a GPS device after she was charged with aggravated stalking involving the father. Angela snatched the boy from school and cut off the GPS device. Deputies immediately notified the father following the removal of the GPS.

Deputies said Angela Darden had sent a disturbing text message to family members. Angela Darden has a history of mental instability which led deputies to believe Howard Darden was in danger.

Orange County released a statement Thursday:

“A middle school child was released to a parent who was under court orders to have no contact with her children. The parent presented the school employee with her ID and alleged to have court papers that provided her with authority. It appears this parent is in violation of the court order and is being sought by the authorities. OCPS has and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement.”

The employee working the front desk at the time of the abduction has since been removed. An investigation by Orange County is being conducted.

Missing Child Alert In Florida – Howard Darden

Apopka, Florida – A missing child alert has been issued for Howard Darden who was last seen in the area of the 2600 block of Lakeville Rd in Apopka, Florida.

The boy may be with his mother, Angela Darden. Howard Darden was taken without permission.

Angela was wearing a court ordered GPS tracking device, but she cut it off to avoid detection after she kidnapped Howard Darden from school.

After family members received some disturbing text messages from Angela Darden, investigators now believe the boy may be in danger.

They may be traveling in a 2002, yellow Volkswagen Beetle, Fl tag number S905DL. They could possibly be heading to Virginia.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of this boy you are asked to please call 911 or contact the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office at 407-665-6650.

Fugitive Bernard Fish, who is accused of impersonating a federal officer, could be in the Kissimmee, Florida area Detectives said.

Fish is also wanted on charges in Michigan for armed robbery and unlawful imprisonment.

Fish may be carrying a weapon and he should be considered armed and dangerous. If you come into contact with Fish do not approach him.

Take a good look at Fish’s photo. If you have seen this man or have information about his location, you are urged to call authorities immediately.

Attorney General Warns Of Utility Scam In Florida

A warning has been issued by Florida Attorney General Pat Bondi, about a widespread scam going around that involves individuals posing as Florida Utility workers in order to fraudulently obtain prepaid debit and credit card information.

The scammers are calling customers, requesting credit card or prepaid debit card information, and threatening the power will be shut off if the information is not provided by the customer. Fraudulent purchases are then made by the scammers using the information obtained by the victims. Some of the victims do not expect fraud as multiple scammers have used caller ID spoofing so it appears as if the call is genuine.

Florida residents can protect themselves by following these tips:

Never provide credit or debit card information over the phone in response to a call you may receive.

Keep in mind that utility companies will not call a customer requesting personal information such as credit card numbers, nor will they ever require payments to be made with a prepaid debit card. Also, utility company employees who may show up to a customers door always carry Identification badges and will never ask for money.

Hang up the phone immediately and call your utility company at a number you know to be official if you receive such a call.

At 12:38 a.m. on August 28, 2013 Ocala Police officers Daniel Fitzpatrick, Officer Fried, and Officer Kelly were conducting a security check in the 3800 block of NE 7th Street, where officer Fitzpatrick had parked his car off the side of the road. Officer Fitzpatrick was walking the area on foot when a 2004 Ford F250 traveling eastbound on NE 7th Street veered off the road and slammed into Fitzpatrick’s marked patrol car.

Officers say the right front and side of the truck struck the left rear of the patrol car. The damage that was caused is significant according to the police report.

The driver of the Ford F250 accelerated and fled the scene, according to the police report.

However the two assisting officers quickly caught up with the F250 as the driver was pulling into the driveway of his home located at 578 NE 44th Avenue.

Oscar Sitzer, 33, was not reported to have any injuries as a result of the hit and run. Fitzpatrick also did not sustain any injuries.

According to police, Sitzer said he was tired and fell asleep at the wheel. Sitzer said he got scared after he hit the police car and that’s why he fled.

However during the arrest police discovered the reason Sitzer was “scared.” Sitzer was in possession of containers [both on his person and in his vehicle] containing traces of marijuana .

Sitzer was charged with one count of Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Property Damage in Excess of$10,000, one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Nidal Hasan Was Sentenced To Death For Fort Hood Shooting

Nidal Hasan-42 was sentenced to death by a military court Wednesday for his 2009 massacre at Fort Hood.

The American born terrorist who was also a Major in the United States Army went on a shooting spree at the Fort Hood Army Base on November 5, 2009, killing 13 people and wounding over 30 others.

He claims he did it to protect the Taliban from American aggression. He has never disputed the accusations of being the gunman. In fact, he told a jury in opening statements that he was the one who opened fire in a crowded waiting room filled with soldiers as they were getting their final medical checkups before leaving on deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

The same jury that convicted Hasan last week of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder, is the same jury that sentenced Hasan to die on Wednesday. It has been over a half of century since the last time a U.S. soldier was executed. However due to the American military justice systems lengthy appeals process, it could very easily be decades before he is put to death. The president must give the final order of execution of a service member.

“He is a criminal. He is a cold-blooded murderer. This is not his gift to God. This is his debt to society. This is the cost of his murderous rampage,” said Col. Mike Mulligan, as he pleaded with the jury to sentence Hasan to death. Mulligan also recalled to the jury how Hasan was a trained military doctor, a Major of the U.S. Army who opened fire on a room full of unarmed, defenseless comrades.

During the trial the judge did not allow for Hasan to tell the jury that the mass murder was necessary to keep American troops from harming Islamic and Taliban leaders.

Troops were waiting in long lines to be cleared by doctors or receive immunizations when the terrorist began firing his weapon. Along with the 13 fatalities was a pregnant private who had reportedly plead with Hasan to spare the life of her baby just before he shot her while she curled on the floor.

Survivors of the attack say that it was nearly impossible to stop the shooting due to training he sought in reloading with speed and precision by an instructor at a gun range outside of Austin, Texas. The instructor stated that he told Hasan to practice while watching TV or with the lights off.

Investigators found 146 shell casings inside the building along with dozens outside as a result of Hasan shooting troops in the back as they ran toward the parking lot. Rapid reloading enabled him to get off nearly 200 rounds in 10 minutes before being shot in the back by a civilian police officer responding to the call. Hasan is now paralyzed from the waist down.

Justice may have been served, but the lives of so many people will forever be affected by the cowardly acts of this terrorist.

Are Parents Raising Killers By Lack Of Parenting ?

What has gone wrong with this generation of youth in America? Is it video games? Maybe it’s the music? Or could it possibly be the overwhelming percentage of single parent households today? Whatever the case may be, it is apparent that kids today need more guidance than previous generations. In the past one to two years it is evident that murderers, rapists, burglars, and thieves are getting younger and younger.

Ocala, Florida – Five teenagers were convicted of first degree murder after they brutally beat, shot, dismembered and burned the body of 15-year-old Seath Jackson back in 2011. The murder reportedly took place over a love triangle between Jackson, his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend who were both convicted of the murder along with three of their friends. Their ages at the time of the killing ranged from 15 to 18.

Brunswick, Georgia -March 2013-Two teenagers shot and killed a 13-month-old baby then turned the gun on the mother while trying to rob her as she took a stroll with her child.

The victim, Sherry West told police, “A boy approached me and told me he wanted my money, and I told him I didn’t have any money.” He said, “give me your money or I’m going to kill you and I’m going to shoot your baby and kill your baby.”

One of the boys then took a gun and shot the baby in the face, right between the eyes while the helpless woman was pleading for the life of her child.

Duncan, Oklahoma -August 2013- Three teens shot and killed 22-year-old Christopher Lane in the back “for the fun of it”, one of the teens told investigators. Facebook and Twitter mark it out as a premeditated [Hate Crime], and while charges for a hate crime have not yet been filed, the teens are facing murder charges.

Christopher Lane’s girlfriend, Sarah Harper said she is devastated over the tragedy.

“He didn’t deserve any of this,” Lane’s girlfriend, Sarah Harper, told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. “It’s heartbreaking that it was such a random choice those guys made that drastically altered so many lives in the process.” “This is unbearable.”

Lane’s Father said, “There’s not going to be any good come out of this because it was just so senseless. There wasn’t anything he did or could have done. He was an athlete going for a jog, like he would do five or six days a week in terms of his training schedule.”

“It’s happened. It’s wrong and we just try and deal with it the best we can.”

Police Chief Dan Ford has said, “the boys had the simplest of motives — overcoming a boring end to their summer vacation. Ford said in a variety of interviews that the 17-year-old had told officers that they were bored and killed Lane for [the fun of it].” Ford added, “They were going on a killing spree, I am just we were able to stop them before anyone else got hurt.”

Spokane, Washington -August 2013- Two teens savagely beat and murdered 88-year-old WWII veteran Delbert Belton. One teen was arrested immediately while the other was only arrested on August 26, 2013 at 3 a.m. The parents have stated it happened because, “It’s the summer and ain’t nothing to do here.” The parents are hoping for a sentence of less than 10 years, however the community wants life in prison for the teens heinous crime. This investigation is still ongoing.

Northwest Indiana -August 2013- A 17-year-old boy was arrested after he allegedly hunted and killed three kittens with a bow and arrow. CBS News was told by police that the boy skewered the kittens on an arrow.

According to investigators the boy confessed, saying that he was bored out of his mind the week before school started and decided to go hunting for some kittens.

Author Robert Jeffress said in an interview with Fox News, “We live in a nation that celebrates violence. The proof is in our movies, music, and our athletic pastimes. Violence has become the new pornography of our culture. One cause of the violence is the unprecedented and explicit violence in video games and cable television. It has desensitized teenagers to the idea of taking a human life.”

Jeffress, who is also a Pastor at the First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas believes that parents are responsible for raising a generation of thugs and savages.

“Parents have absolutely failed in their most basic, fundamental responsibility as parents and that is to instill God’s moral law in the hearts of their children. Our culture continues to deny or marginalize the existence of God. We shouldn’t be surprised that teenagers would ignore the most basic laws of God- like thou shall not kill,” said Jeffress.

However one cannot lay all the blame on parents. The government is doing a fine job of making sure that people cannot properly discipline their children without the fear of being arrested for child abuse. It’s no longer politically correct to spank a child, teach them about God, or to love and respect the country they live in. Society today teaches kids to be selfish, disrespectful, self centered, narcissists who only care about themselves. However it’s not only kids who learn to behave that way. Young parents tend to behave that way as well, leading to record breaking numbers of broken homes.

Broken homes come from failed marriages and failed marriages come from parents that forgot how to work for a marriage, in fact research shows that today’s generation is not willing to try and make a marriage work. Marriages get strained from everyday life, finances, and infidelity. However statistics show couples today will throw it all away without a hint of trying to heal the husband and wife relationship.

In America, there is one divorce every 13 seconds. The age range is 20 years of age to 39 years of age.

Divorce frequently contributes to depression, anxiety or substance abuse in one or both parents and may bring about difficulties in balancing work and caring for a child. These problems can impair a parent’s ability to offer children stability and love when they are most in need.

Psychologists Joan B. Kelly of Corte Madera, California said that children that come from problematic homes where the parents constantly fight, yell, and scream at each other will definitely have an effect on them. She said studies show that when the marriage ultimately ends in divorce children can become mentally unstable later in life.

Ultimately it is the children, the new generation that will suffer in every way, shape, and form.

Teacher Rapes Girl She Commits Suicide He Gets 30 Days In Jail

Stacey Dean Rambold, 54, a teacher who taught at Billings Senior High raped a 14-year-old-student in 2008. Rambold admitted to raping the 14-year-old girl when he was 49-years-old.

The teen spent the months following the rape trying to put her life back together, trying to fit in at school as a normal teen. Rambold made that impossible, he essentially turned everyone against her.

Prosecutors asked for a 20 year sentence with suspending 10 of those years. However judge G. Todd Baugh infuriated the teens mom, Auliea Hanlon, when he unthinkably sentenced Rambold to only 30 days in jail on Monday, August 26, 2013. “I think this sentence is a joke and a travesty”, she said. Adding, “people will lose faith in our justice system.”

Hanlon said she was very angry about what the judge said about her daughter. Judge Todd Baugh said, “the teen seems much older than her chronological age” and “she was in just as much control of the situation.” Insinuating somehow as if it were the teens fault she was raped.

Hanlon believes that the pre-sexual grooming by Rambold of her daughter led to the pair having sex. When school officials found out about the relationship, Rambold resigned. Later that year, authorities charged Rambold with three counts of sexual intercourse without consent. Baugh said, “it’s probably not the kind of rape most people think about.” Adding, “It was not a violent, forcible, beat-the-victim rape, like you see in the movies.”

The teen was raped in 2008 and on February 6, 2010, just a few weeks before the teens 17th birthday, she committed suicide. As a result of the trauma from the rape and the aftermath, the teen fell into a deep irreversible depression and she suffered from severe emotional distress. The teen was humiliated and faced embarrassment, all of which led up to her taking her own life.

Hanlon filed a complaint against Rambold. In the complaint she said, It is the relationship that caused her daughter’s death. “Well it definitely had something to do with it,” she said. “A teenager’s whole life is about school and their friends, and he turned everyone against her.”

Judge Baugh is now under heavy fire for his light sentencing and investigators say it is not the first time that Judge Baugh has been in the spot light. This is the second time in a few short months the judge has passed down a light sentencing on crimes that deserved much more.

Petitions are being signed and passed around the internet calling for Baugh’s resignation.

Residents of Montana say they will remember Rambold’s face.

Al Gore Sold To Al Jazeera America; TV Launches – 9/11 Survivors Furious

In January, Al Gore sold his struggling cable channel , Current TV, to Al Jazeera for $100 million, however, new reports indicate it may have actually been $500 million; money that analysts say is to certain to have been blood money related to terrorism. Experts said the TV channel was worth nothing, yet Al Jazeera offered up the money without asking any questions.

Al Jazeera is part of the Middle Eastern media empire financed by the oil-rich nation of Qatar. Al Jazeera has been referred to by Americans as the terrorist network and the sale of the cable channel once owned by Al Gore has set off a frenzy of angry Americans, some calling Gore an UN-American traitor.

Al Jazeera went live in the United States on August 20, 2013 and immediately began attacking American news stations, making fun of Fox News with dancing heads.

The massive controversy over the Arabic channel is the fact it is based in New York and calling itself Al Jazeera America; New York residents are calling it a slap in the face. Al Jazeera ran with nearly zero ads during their air time, proving that Americans do not want to buy advertising spots on a network that some say is funded by terrorism.

“I wouldn’t give them a dime, especially since we are in New York,” one advertiser, who asked not to be named, told the New York Post. He added, “They’re owned by an Arab country and they ran the bin Laden tapes,” he added. “I just wouldn’t trust them.”

AT&T dropped the channel shortly after it aired citing contract issues, shortly after it was dropped, Al Jazeera filed a lawsuit against AT&T.

New York residents say they will not support Al Jazeera and plan to boycott the channel along with not advertising with them. One New York resident said, “They cannot expect to be accepted in New York after 9/11, especially since Al Jazeera’s owners seemed to be close to Bin Laden and his network of terrorists.” We all remember 9/11, who could ever forget? After the attacks on New York City and the Pentagon, Al Jazeera broadcast video from Osama bin Laden and did a live interview with the mass murderer.

Ehab Al Shihabi, Al Jazeera America’s CEO, told the New York Post last week that “surveys showed 75 percent of Americans hadn’t seen any of the network’s coverage and still had a negative view of it.” He added ” I think that will change once Americans view it.” A statement that many New York residents say is unlikely to happen.

When Al Jazeera aired on Tuesday the Arabic owned channel was immediately accused of showing a staged video of a Muslim Brotherhood backed protester being shot. The video was clearly a fake after doctors that were around the “supposedly dead body” accidentally showed the camera the victims chest while raising his shirt, showing zero injuries or gunshots. The camera immediately cut after the incident.

FSA crimes says that Americans need to be aware that the Al Jazeera empire backs the Muslim Brotherhood and they always have.

“The strong bias of Al Jazeera in Egypt was always to be expected,” FSA wrote. “Their support for the Muslim Brotherhood was a given, and there was never any doubt that the new interim government had their suspicions about the news agency.”

Hillary Clinton who wants to run for President in 2016, supports the channel. Saying, “It is real news.” A statement some say may cost her her reputation.

Brigitte Gabriel, a Lebanese American journalist, feels that Al Jazeera is trying to take on the U.S. from the inside out.

Cablevision in New York is not airing the channel. Time Warner is currently in negotiations. Al Jazeera America is currently being aired on Comcast, Verizon FiOS, DirecTV and Dish Network, with access to about 43 million households.

Al Jazeera English is no longer running due to low ratings.

Ocala Post reached out to Bright House Networks serving Central Florida and Loriann, a representative of Bright House gave this statement:

“We are in discussions with Al Jazeera about carrying [Al Jazeera America], but at this time we have not reached an agreement to do so – and even if we do reach an agreement to allow carriage, that does not necessarily mean we would add them to the lineup immediately. We always consider many factors – and we would review our options and make a decision at that time.” She added, “If a channel is added that a viewer does not wish to view, it may be blocked.”

Marion County Man Charged With Child Abuse

A Marion County man is in jail today on child abuse charges after stomping on the windshield of his girlfriend’s car.

According to investigators, Marcus Jeremy Waters-37, returned home to find that his dog was missing after the front door of the home was left open. Waters then became angry and began yelling and swearing at his girlfriend.

The incident quickly became violent as she was trying to leave the home with her daughters. That’s when sheriff’s office officials say the woman’s 12-year-old told Waters that he should not talk to her mother that way. Waters then jumped on the hood and began stomping on the windshield of the car causing class to break and injure the young girl.

Deputies say they had to pursue Waters with the sheriff’s office air unit, a K-9 unit, and patrol units after he ran into nearby woods.

The girl suffered only minor injuries from the attack.

Miami —The bone chilling Amber Alert that went on Monday afternoon turned out to be a huge misunderstanding according to Miami, Dade Police.”The girl is safe and sound”, police said.

Cell phones across Florida were alerted by the new Wireless Emergency System around 3 p.m. Monday after police were informed by a witness that a young girl was in the trunk of a car, the witness could see her because the trunk was cracked open. The witness told police the driver got out of the car and slammed the trunk closed then drove off.

People were horrified, sending out mass Tweets and Facebook messages about the little girl, thinking the worst.

Police are thankful that it turned out to be a misunderstanding.

Police say this is what actually happened:

The father was traveling with his little girl on 57th avenue and 40th Street when the little girl opened the flap on the back seat to the trunk causing her water bottle to roll into the trunk. When they came to a stop light the father pulled the trunk latch to get out and get the water bottle for his daughter. When he opened the trunk the witness could see the little girl reaching out for the water bottle making it appear as if she were in the trunk. The father closed the trunk, returned to his vehicle, and drove off therefore prompting the Good Samaritan to take down the tag number and call 911.

Police Said, “The person who reported what she thought was something suspicious did exactly what she should have done,” said Miami-Dade police spokesman Detective Roy Rutland.

This incident proves that the new Wireless Emergency System works and the system was taken serious by the public.

Deadly Amoeba Claims Another Life In Florida

MIAMI – 12-year-old Zachary Reyna has been infected by a deadly amoeba. He was infected while knee boarding with friends in a ditch near his family’s home.

Zachary’s uncle said, “doctors say he is not showing any brain activity.” “The doctors did all they could do. It’s up to the good man upstairs,” he said, adding that the family was praying. “I just wish a miracle would happen.”

The family had originally thought that antibiotics Zachary was taking had killed the infection, however the infection caused extensive brain damage .

A post on their Facebook page said they planned to donate Reyna’s organs.

“Even though Zac has passed, he will still be saving many lives,” the post read.

The family is devastated over the sudden loss of a young child with such a bright personality and so full of energy. Zac played multiple sports and had just challenged him to a baseball game two days prior, Villarreal said.

A true tragedy and sad time for all family members and friends dealing with the loss of Zachary Reyna.

The infection that Zachary developed is actually caused by Naegleria fowleri, commonly referred to as the “brain-eating amoeba or ameba.” The amoeba is a free-living microscopic ameba*, a single celled organism. It causes a rare and deadly infection in the brain called amebic meningoencephalitis, AKA (PAM).

The amoeba is commonly found in warm freshwater such as lakes, rivers, ponds, ditches, and hot springs as well as soil.

Naegleria fowleri contaminates the body by entering the nose and travels to the brain where it causes the infection known as (PAM). The infection in fatal.

The amoeba that causes the infection can also be found in under-chlorinated pools and heated contaminated tap water.

During the summer months in states such as Florida residents should take precautions while swimming in extremely warm waters or avoid lakes, ponds, and rivers completely.

The CDC reports 111 cases have been reported since 1962, thirty of them in Florida. Research shows 28 cases were reported between 2003-2012, three cases a year. Three of the cases from 2003-2012 were Central Florida children, reported in 2007.

While the CDC reports the infection caused by the amoeba is rare, do parents feel it is worth the risk to ignore the precautions?

A Pass For License Free Fishing In Florida

On September 1^st, 2013 you and your family can enjoy a day of license free saltwater fishing anywhere in Florida.

On August 26, 2013 Governor Rick Scott and the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced that on Sept 1, 2013 Florida residents as well as visitors can experience the fun activities saltwater recreation has to offer without possessing a license to do so. This waiver applies to crabbing, lobstering’, scalloping, and fishing from a boat or shore. However bag limits, season, and size limits still apply.

“The license free fishing day on September 1, 2013 is a great way for families to enjoy Florida’s incredible saltwater fishing opportunities during the Labor Day holiday. Florida is the fishing capital of the world and this license free weekend is a great opportunity to introduce friends and family who may have never experienced Florida saltwater fishing to enjoy the Sunshine States’ bountiful waters and historic fishing communities,” said Governor Scott.

Earlier this year license free freshwater fishing days was held on April 13^th ,June 8^th ,June 1^{st, and} for saltwater.

The Fish and Wildlife Conservation is considering an additional four days of license free fishing that will be addressed at a meeting on Sept 5, 2013in Pensacola. If the proposal is approved it will add two more saltwater and two freshwater license free fishing days to the calendar before the end of 2013.

Annual fishing license for Florida residents can be purchased by calling 1-800-FISH-FLORIDA or by logging onto License.MyFWC.com. All fees are used to fund restoration projects to Florida’s waterways and to help support the FWC.

If you are a Florida visitor 16 years of age or older, you do not need a valid saltwater fishing license, snook permit, or spiny lobster permit if:

You fish from a for-hire vessel (guide, charter, party boat) that has a valid vessel license
You fish from a vessel in which the operator has a valid vessel license issued in the name of the operator of that vessel
You are saltwater fishing during free fishing days
You fish for recreational purposes from a pier with a valid pier saltwater fishing license

You have a valid saltwater products license or FWC charter captain license (does not apply to charter boat license or U.S. Coast Guard license).

These exceptions do not apply to tarpon tags.

Florida visitors 16 years of age and older do not need a freshwater fishing license if:

You are fishing in a man-made fish pond of 20 acres or less which is located entirely within the private property of its owner.
You are fishing on license free freshwater fishing days
You are fishing in a man-made fish pond of 20 acres or more, whose owner has purchased a fish pond license at a fee of $3 per surface acre
You are fishing in the St. Mary’s River or Lake Seminole (but not including tributary creeks in Florida) and have a valid Georgia fishing license.

On August 21, 2013 we reported that the Sylvan Learning Center, located at 3231 SE Maricamp Rd., had been burglarized. Property was stolen and estimated to be worth $15,000.

During the investigation police learned that a substitute teacher for the Sylvan Learning center who had recently been written up for job performance was their number one suspect.

Devin Lawrence Most, 26,was suspected of selling three iPads to Re-Tech prior to the burglary taking place.

When deputies questioned Devin Most he confessed to taking the three iPads while employed at Sylvan. Most sold them for quick cash in order to pay his drug dealer. Most needed to support his expensive drug habit and he says he is addicted to pain killers.

Most denied having any involvement in the burglary of the Sylvan Learning Center, but a search of Most’s room proved Most was lying. Investigators searched the home of Most’s parents where Most lives and found 15 iPads, the Neat Receipt Scanner, and two electronic writing tablets were recovered. The 15 iPads were stuffed into a backpack.

After the items were discovered, Most was questioned again and he said, “I plead the fifth.” However when detectives asked about other items that were still missing, Most slipped up and said, “that’s all I took.”

Most was consequently arrested and charged with three counts of dealing in stolen property, two counts of false verification of ownership to a second hand dealer, one count of burglary [commercial], and one count of grand theft. His bond was set at $10,000.

The Ocala Police Department had this to say, “The Ocala Police Department is happy to have recovered a great majority of the items taken so quickly and returned them to the Sylvan Learning Center for their use in educating youth in our community. Being able to make the arrest and return property to a victim in such a quick manner is of great importance to OPD and we commend Det. Hoover for a job well done.”

MIAMI – Miami-Dade Police cancelled the statewide Amber Alert On August 26, 2013 after a 5 year old girl, believed to have been abducted, was found safe.

It was like a scene from the movie “The Call.”

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued the alert after receiving information that a young girl was seen in the trunk of a car on a Miami street.

Miami-Dade Police say “a witness was behind a car at the intersection of Bird Road and 57th Avenue and saw what they believed to be a 5 year old girl in the trunk that was cracked open. The description was of a of a 2013 Grey Chevrolet Impala. The driver reportedly got out of the car and slammed the trunk completely closed prior to taking off.”

The Florida tag number, 106LYT, traced back to a rental car company and the renter is identified as Hernan Daza-Novellino. The co-renter of the car is identified as Anna Rita Di Frances Cantonio.

It is unknown if Di Frances Cantonio was in the car at the time of the suspected kidnapping.

The witness did an incredible job of describing the girl considering she only saw the girl for a brief moment.

Police have not released any detailed information, but say the young girl was unharmed. Police are questioning the two adults she was found with.

Marion County Sheriff officials need your help to catch a man who robbed an Ocala convenience store Sunday evening.

According to Capt. Tom Terrell of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, it was about 6 p.m. when a man armed with a gun and wearing a hoodie with something over his face entered the store located at 5790 NE Seventh Street and demanded money from the register. He fled the store after receiving an unknown amount of cash.

A deputy at a red light was approached by the clerk at the corner of Northeast Seventh Street and Baseline road and advised of the robbery.

Deputies searched the area by way of both air and k-9 units, but were unable to make an arrest. He may have entered the woods behind the store and possibly left the area in a vehicle, deputies say.

Marion County seems to have tasty water as it has been deemed the county with the best tasting water.

The Florida Rural Water Association gave Marion County the title after a panel rated Marion County’s water based on color, taste, and quench factor.

The panel is made up of individuals from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and water supply companies and Marion County was chosen out of more than a dozen competitors.

Marion County Utilities will be up against the rest of the country in February for the Great American Water Taste Test in Washington, D.C.

It is unclear where the water came from that was entered into the contest. Was it chlorinated or directly from the aquifer?

The facts about chlorine are undeniable and the public should not be misled, rather it be intentional or unintentional.

We were able to obtain water from three separate communities; Marion Oaks, Silver Springs Shores, and Sun Valley. We found the water tested high in chlorine levels. We used a simple pool test kit to test the levels and Marion Oaks proved to be higher in chlorine than that of Silver Springs Shores and Sun Valley. Nevertheless the presence of chlorine in the water straight from the glass, was noticeable in both taste and smell.

The Marion County Board of Commissioners website reads; “The source of our water is groundwater from wells located in the community. The wells draw from the Floridan aquifer, one of the world’s most protected sources. Our water is chlorinated for disinfection purposes.”

The [Floridan] aquifer is a portion of the principal Artesian Aquifer that extends into Florida.

While the reasoning behind chlorinating water is understandable, after doing a lot of research it can be concluded that chlorine is actually quite dangerous. Maybe even more dangerous than that of the natural water that would come from the aquifer untreated.

Chlorine is like one of those commercials for a new drug that is supposed to help your arthritis, but at the end of the commercial you hear three minutes of side effects always ending with ‘including death.’

Here are the side effects of unfiltered water that would contain chlorine:

*Infertility

* Has been known to cause bladder, breast, testicular, colon, or rectal and bowel cancer

*Lung tissue damage [if you are an avid swimmer in a chlorinated pool this applies]

*Fetus/Birth Defects

*Prolonged exposure will damage eyes [applies to swimmers mainly]

* Damages the nervous system

* Chlorine can react with water in the mucous of the lungs to form hydrochloric acid, an irritant that can be lethal.

* When chlorine enters the body as a result of breathing, swallowing, or skin contact, it reacts with water to produce acids. The acids are corrosive and damage cells in the body on contact.

Chemical Warfare – Chlorine gas, also known as bertholite, can be used as a weapon. The gas can be deadly if a person does not wear a gas mask. During the Iraq war, the enemy used chlorine bombs on the local populations. [we have left out elements in order to keep the crazy people that may be reading this from getting any ideas]

Individuals may have experienced many of the side effects, been to the doctor, but never knew the cause. Someone may have even developed cancer but had no idea it was caused from chlorine. Cancer cases have grown over the past two decades. Does anyone ever ask the question why?

The side effects make sense. Chlorine is a corrosive, an agent used to kill bacteria, mold, algae, and used to pressure wash houses. If households use bleach, which is weaker than chlorine, to wash whites; it makes one wonder what chlorine does to a person’s insides.

If your household is supplied water from a utility company and not a well in your backyard, here are some suggestions.

*If your refrigerator has on-board water and filter, make sure it is changed as directed by the manufacturer. The filter will filter out the chlorine in the water.

*If you do not have a refrigerator that has a filter there are inexpensive alternatives to protect your family. Brita water dispensers are a great alternative. They range from $10-$70 and will help filter out the chlorine in your drinking water. The money will be well spent and could prevent health problems down the road for your family.

Pritchett Trucking Lake Bulter Ocala Post — Statement From Family

Lake Butler, Florida— Tragedy struck a family when a 72-year-old man shot and killed his former boss in Florida.

Union County Sheriff’s officials said that Hubert Allen Jr. drove to several locations Saturday morning and shot four men. Three of the men were former co-workers of Allen. They worked for Pritchett Trucking, Allen had just retired from the trucking company only two weeks ago. Allen worked for the company for more than 30 years.

The other man that Allen shot and killed was his former boss and the owner of the trucking company , Marvin Pritchett. Allen also fatally shot Rolando Gonzalez-Delgado, one of the four men. One of the wounded Lewis Mabrey Jr., 66, is undergoing surgery and fighting for his life, the other victim is, Mr. David Griffis, 44, he was shot in the stomach and is listed in serious condition.

After shooting the men, Hubert Allen returned to his residence off of S.E. 6th Avenue, Lake Butler where he turned the gun on himself and pulled the trigger.

At this time the investigation is still ongoing, a motive for the shootings has not yet been determined.

Investigators are sure that Allen acted alone in the shootings and as the investigation continues more details will be released.

Steve Perez, CFO of Pritchett Trucking, released this statement:

“Today’s tragic events have shocked and saddened the Pritchett Trucking family. We mourn the loss of our founder, Marvin Pritchett, and of Rolando Gonzalez-Delgado, and we pray for the recoveries of Lewis “Buddy” Mabrey Jr. and David Griffis. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of their families, and at this time our sole focus is on those impacted by today’s events. Words cannot express the pain and sorrow felt by so many yet we are comforted by the memories of those lost.”

“Mr. Pritchett was like a dad to me,” said Tim Whitehead. “He was like a mentor to everyone he came into contact with. He built an empire here and he was someone you could look up to.”

Art Peterson is the pastor at First Christian Church where the Pritchett family has gone to worship for decades. He said he knew almost everyone involved, including Hubert Allen.

“You know, in fact, I talked to him (Allen) last week,” said Peterson. “It shocks me because never in a million years would I guess that he would do something like this.”

Residents and family are having a difficult time grasping and understanding what happened. The community has never seen anything like this. The community is one where everybody knows everybody and everyone for the most part were like family.

Peterson said,” It’s just a time for people to come together and not judge anybody. As one of the sayings go, ‘good always overcomes evil’ and so we just need for that to help us now.”

Chesterfield, Virginia – A teacher in Virginia arrested for having a “relationship” with a 14-year-old.

Nicholas M. Ells, 29, of the 19700 block of Walker Avenue was arrested on August 15, 2013 for having an inappropriate relationship with juvenile who is 14-years-old. Ells teaches at Matoaca High School in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Police say ells has been having the relationship with the juvenile for more than four months. Authorities were alerted after someone saw Ells have what appeared to be inappropriate communication with the 14-year-old. Police are uncertain if anything has actually happened on campus but say they are looking into it and asking questions.

Sources say Ells is married and has a child of his own. It is reported that his wife is also an employee of the High school, working as a guidance counselor.

Ells was charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor while in a custodial role and four counts of carnal knowledge of a child between the ages of 13 and 15, Chesterfield County police said Friday.

Ells is being held in jail pending arraignment in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
