Salvador Gutierrez [Mugshot] Daisy Gutierrez [Mugshot]Cook County, Chicago — Daisy Gutierrez, 19, enticed Jose Reyes Ramos, 30, to come to her home, located in the 8300 block of South Scottsdale Avenue, on a promise she would perform a strip tease for him back in May 2013.
Gutierrez had told her family to leave the home while she invited Reyes, who had recently shown an interest in her, over for a visit.
When Reyes arrived at Gutierrez’s home, she led him into a bedroom where she began to strip, according to reports. As she was stripping, Gutierrez’s current boyfriend kicked in the door and attacked Reyes with a pipe, and a knife which was used to slit his throat. Gutierrez’s boyfriend then decapitated Reyes.
After murdering Reyes, Gutierrez called her father, Salvador Gutierrez, 56, and told him “she had fixed the problem,” according to authorities.
Gutierrez’s father then returned to the home and spent three hours digging a hole in the backyard after watching Gutierrez’s boyfriend dismember the body piece by piece. After dismembering the body, they placed the body parts into plastic bags, threw them into the hole, and buried them.
Gutierrez’s ex-boyfriend, Jorge Moncada Ramos, told police he immediately suspected his ex-girlfriend when his brother Reyes went missing.
Jorge Moncada Ramos had broken up with Gutierrez after a long relationship in which they had two children. Moncada told police that Gutierrez began stalking his brother after he changed his number.
Moncada also told authorities that Gutierrez, as well as her family, were angry over the breakup and had threatened to kill him in the past.
According to authorities, Gutierrez used Reyes to make her current boyfriend jealous and wanted Reyes murdered to get revenge on Moncada for breaking off the relationship with her.
On Friday, October 4, 2013, authorities executed a search warrant on the home where it was suspected that Reyes was buried. The dismembered body of Reyes was discovered after five months of being buried on the property.
Daisy Gutierrez was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. She is being held on a $2 Million bond. Her father, Salvador Gutierrez, was charged with Concealing a Homicide and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Philomena Melton [Mugshot]Ocala Police responded to the Kangaroo Express located at 3873 SW College Road, regarding a woman sleeping inside her van with an infant child inside.
An employee of the convenience store, Rebecca Kiefer, 24, called police stating that there was an unknown white female, sitting inside a purple van in the parking lot and appeared to be sleeping. Kiefer also advised police that there was an infant inside the vehicle.
When Officer Justin Caruthers arrived at the location he observed a purple Plymouth minivan in the parking with the driver’s door open.
He approached the vehicle and discovered a white female, later identified as Philomena Maria Melton, 23, asleep in the driver’s seat, according to reports.
Melton had a plastic baggy with a green leafy substance sitting in her lap in plain view, along with an open cigar wrapper that also contained a green leafy substance.
Officer Caruthers also discovered that she had her 1-year-old daughter in the back seat.
The officer attempted to wake Melton, but initially had negative results until she finally awoke several minutes later.
When Melton woke up and realized there was a law enforcement officer standing there, she immediately grabbed the plastic baggy containing the green leafy substance and the cigar wrapper in an attempt to place it in her purse, which was sitting on the passenger side floorboard out of view of the officer.
EMS was called out to the scene to check on Melton due to her disorientation, and while EMS was en route, Officer Caruthers was able to positively identify Melton via D.A.V.I.D., a police database.
Officer Bertalan arrived on scene and stood by with Melton while Office Caruthers removed the substance from Melon’s purse. An evidence technician responded and performed a subsequent presumptive field test, which revealed that the substance tested positive for synthetic marijuana.
Officer Caruthers spoke with Kiefer inside the store, who stated that prior to her calling the police she had observed Melton asleep in her vehicle with the driver side door open and had seen the child in the back seat. She said she went outside to wake Melton up, and although it took several minutes to do so, when Melton finally awoke, she advised Kiefer that she was alright. Kiefer went back inside the store and Melton immediately fell back asleep with the driver’s door still open, at which time she called police, stating she was concerned for the welfare of the child.
According to police, when EMS arrived Melton appeared to be more responsive and when the officer asked her how long she had been asleep prior to him waking her, she said she didn’t know. She advised the officer that she had smoked synthetic marijuana earlier in the day.
Due to Melton being asleep, the officer felt that she failed to provide the care, supervision, and services necessary to maintain the physical and mental health of the child and felt that the child’s total well being was put in jeopardy, as the vehicle was not only unsecured, but the driver’s side door was open and the child could have easily been harmed or abducted from the vehicle without Melton’s knowledge.
The on call DCF Investigator Deidre Hart was contacted in reference to the case, which she later determined that the child’s father was free to take custody of her.
Officer Stacey Hunter transported the baby to the Ocala Police Department to await the arrival of her father.
Melton was arrested and charged with one count of Child Neglect without Great Bodily Harm and one count of Possession of Synthetic Drugs Inside Ocala City Limits.
She was booked into the Marion County Jail and is being held on a $5,250 bond.
Richard Houy [Mugshot]A man identified as Gerald Paul VanDyke, 55, who went missing on September 14, 2013 has been found dead.
His mutilated body was found in a field in a rural area in Rockdale, Pennsylvania. VanDyke’s head and feet had been chopped off and his body stuffed into a drum.
DNA tests had to be performed in order to identify the body but police said they were already sure the butchered body was that of VanDyke.
The autopsy revealed that prior to being chopped up, VanDyke had been shot through the heart with a hunting arrow, piercing is aorta.
VanDyke’s longtime girlfriend, Tina Skelton had told her father Richard Alfred Houy, 68, of Cambridge that she wanted to break up with VanDyke.
According to police there was bad blood between Skelton and VanDyke.
A day before police made the gruesome discovery they had already arrested Houy and charged him with the murder of VanDyke based on a confession state police said Houy gave them.
Richard Houy reportedly killed VanDyke for his daughter, Tina Skelton.
VanDyke’s family members cannot believe it and were absolutely horrified and disgusted when they heard the details of his murder.
VanDkye’s aunt said, “Who would ever remove parts of the body?”
“It is one thing to get angry and kill someone, but to dismember him — that is about as low as you can get.”
Police later found parts of VanDykes truck that had been dismantled and scrapped.
Police charged Houy with Murder of the First Degree, Abuse of a Corpse, Tampering with or Fabricating Evidence, and False Reports to Law Enforcement.
Houy is being held without bond in Crawford County Jail.

Obamacare [Cartoon by Lisa]In light of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are some facts that should be considered in regards to Obamacare.
During a press conference, Obama made reference that “The Affordable Healthcare Act could save the lives of cancer patients.” After careful evaluation of the Affordable Healthcare Act schedules, a person could reasonably conclude that his statement was misleading to Americans.
With so many politicians involved with Obamacare, it is no wonder why the public is hesitant to trust in anything that comes from the White House; and with very good reason.
If the public feels Obama and his staff have not been forth coming in regards to Obamacare, the public would be correct in that assumption.
Ocala Post didn’t have to dig very deep to find serious flaws in the Affordable Care Act. Citizens might ask themselves why they have not heard anything from insurance agencies, or why haven’t they been on the news? It’s because the insurance agencies are on the payroll list.
The team at Ocala Post has spent the past week in meetings with medical insurance billing companies and sitting down with individual doctors in order to get the hard facts of Obamacare from the inside; and finding out how it is already effecting citizens as well as medical offices.
While Obama continues to point the finger at the republican party, the facts are clear cut.
Let’s start off simple. What exactly is Obamacare and the Health Care Reform? On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The purpose of this law is to not only provide Americans with options to affordable healthcare but to improve, regulate, and reduce spending in healthcare. On October 1, 2013, the Health Insurance Marketplace went live to provide open enrollment for Americans to apply for and choose insurance plans that are federally regulated with subsidy assistance for those that qualify. The Affordable Care Act is literally over a thousand pages of reforms made to the current insurance industry. By reforming the current industry, healthcare costs will be reduced, thus making healthcare affordable. There are millions of Americans that are uninsured because they cannot afford coverage or don’t meet other qualification factors for Medicaid or Medicare. The Health Care Reform will solve this issue. By providing affordable and subsidized coverage, more Americans will become insured and receive healthcare that they may have not otherwise have. Additionally, the reform will expand Medicaid and Medicare to people who may have not qualified in the past. Open enrollment is October 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014. Plans will become effective January 1, 2014. Those are the facts! If you want to read about all the ins and outs of Obamacare, visit https://www.healthcare.gov/.
We’re going to highlight The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly; basically what you SHOULD know but probably do not. If you think you have heard enough about the good and the bad of the Health Care Reform, then do yourself a favor and skip down to “The Ugly.” That is the scary part.
The Good:
We’ve already discussed the fact that affordable insurance will be available to Americans; hence improving overall health care. There’s no doubting that the Health Care Reform does have some good perks that millions of people can take advantage of. Remember, the new provisions will take effect January 1, 2014. Most importantly, the reform will:
eliminate pre-existing conditions and gender discrimination.
ensures that quality insurance is available to everyone that is not able to obtain a policy through their employer.
increases protection from being dropped from policies if you become sick, have met lifetime limits, or inability to pay your premium.
expand Medicaid coverage to millions of uninsured Americans that may have not previously qualified.
offers cost assistance (subsidized plans) to those that make less than 400 percent of the federal poverty level ($93,700 as a family or $43,021 as an individual in 2013) through tax credits. The subsidized plans will cost 0-9.5 percent of taxable income.
allows children to stay on their parent’s current insurance plan until age 26 regardless if they are married, student status, or living arrangements.
offers rebates back to you on the premiums you pay if the insurer under-spends.
offers credits to businesses that provide policies to their employees.
mandate that the following “Essential Benefits” be included in ALL insurance plans:
Emergency services
Hospitalizations
Laboratory services
Maternity care
Mental health and substance abuse treatment
Outpatient, or ambulatory care
Pediatric care
Prescription drugs
Preventive care
Rehabilitative and rehabilitative (helping maintain daily functioning) services
Vision and dental care for children
The Bad:
The summary of the benefits listed above certainly do seem appealing. What are the cons to Obamacare? Mostly political and economical consequences result from mandated healthcare. A quick overview of the downside:
Obamacare requires that ALL Americans have health insurance either through a private provider or through a state or federally assisted program, If you do not have insurance in place , you must pay a tax equal to 1% of your income in 2014 and 2.5 percent in 2016.
Obamacare requires that all employers with over 50 full time employees offer health insurance to their employees. If the employers choose not to comply, they will face a penalty. In this economy, many employers are already stretched far too thin. In order to avoid the penalty, many employers have decided to downsize their workforce or reduce employee hours so they are no longer required to provide benefits. In turn, this causes even more hardship on the employers and obviously the employees.
The fear that the government is controlling the Americans by forcing them into purchasing health insurance; therefore indirectly violating their constitutional rights.
A Government website recording ALL of Americans indentifying information; even though claims have been made that citizens do not have to input personal information. A claim in which Governor Rick Scott of Florida says is completely false because personal information is being required.
Immediate doctor shortage with lower reimbursement rates therefore creating a lower quality in care.
Even with subsidized assistance, the financial strain will be too great for many Americans that already struggle to feed their families or put gas in their cars without having to pay an insurance premium.
Americans that wish to purchase a private insurance policy may, but if it is determined they qualify for Medicaid according to the income guidelines they will be forced to carry Medicaid.
Ultimately, this will create more taxes for American’s.
The Ugly:
Now that we’ve briefly highlighted the pros and cons from an economic and political standpoint, let’s touch on the issues that have not really been talked about. The issue that will directly impact each and every insured individual. While it is true that the reform will provide for no cost preventative and wellness services, it is not as clear cut as you might think. While it is true that the reform will cover preventative screening and wellness exams, what they have not told you is that there are schedules to follow. For example, it is typical for a sexually active woman to receive a pap smear every year until her doctor feels they are no longer necessary. The new standards under Obamacare will limit pap smears to once every THREE years for women ages 21-65. So, what happens if you are under 21 or over 65? Well, they aren’t covered because they are not recommended by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. While screening mammography for high risk women remains yearly, routine or low risk women mammography will be covered every two years. How does this offer “better” preventative care and better cancer screenings? Cervical and breast cancers are usually quite aggressive; however they can be manageable when caught and treated early. When it comes to cancer, days, weeks, and months mean the difference between life and death. Can you imagine what years do?
Another issue is healthcare rationing; something Obama denies time and time again. However rationing is an undeniable fact after reading the schedules on the governments own website.
One view of rationing by many is the fact that it appears that as a person gets older, their benefits become limited as you can see from the recommended testing schedule above. Another view of rationing is the shortage of doctors and providers available for patient care. Look at it from this perspective. As part of the reform, reimbursement and allowable fees to doctors are being decreased. If the doctors insurance remittance amounts are decreased, the doctor will ultimately have to decrease their staff size. With the reform also comes more paperwork for doctors offices to complete for authorizations, referrals, and certifications and if not followed or submitted timely, the doctor will be penalized. In other words, you have taken a medical office that had to decrease their staff due to reimbursement rates but now there is more work for the office to complete on a reduced/limited staff. This will then limit the amount of patients a doctor can see in a day and furthermore, it will limit the amount of time a doctor actually spends with their patients. Underpaid and overworked doctors doesn’t make me feel too confident in their abilities to treat, diagnose, and manage my health or the health of a loved one. Another issue that many providers will face are the restrictions that Obamacare will put on the way they manage their patients. While a doctor feels it is in a patients best interest to have their blood checked every 6 months to manage or follow up on a condition, if the patients insurance no longer covers that frequency, the patient will most likely refuse the test; hence making it very difficult to effectively and safely manage that patients care. While there are certainly ways around the allowed frequency; such as appealing for medical necessity, who is going to do all the appealing when there is limited office staff in the doctor’s office?
Below is feedback from individuals that have tested out the “Obama Exchange.”
“With existing on two adults and two kids with pre-existing… And the mental health for ADHD ADD and OCD is ridiculous but another story.. I deal with 80 and 90 and hundred year old people Of course they all have pre-existing… Our insurance has tripled in one month… For a lot of people who don’t understand this crap (like me ) don’t know what to do…… And the crazy thing is nine out of 10 clients on Wednesday received a letter from Medicare telling them that they are responsible for this astronomical amount of money… Reason being Medicare says if it’s not paid by July 1 they cant receive any medical funding and it’s supposedly a accumulated amounts over the time they used Medicare… My parents received one yesterday saying they owed $1954… What the heck is this ? Do you know by chance I was hoping maybe you might be familiar with this letter? … We are very confused! … Keep the informative post coming we need them they also help us to try to figure out what we’re gonna do.”
“I just did my family of 4…two adults two kids based on 75K income..$7,863 in premiums with a $12,700 deductible….yeah that sounds like a great deal to me…NOT! There is no way a typical family can afford to spend over 20K of their 75K salary for medical….those are the facts!”
If citizens have not been involved, now would be a good time to contact congress and the President of the United States to express your concerns.
We want to hear from you. How do you feel about Obamacare?

Thickening or swelling of part of the breast.
Irritation or dimpling of breast skin.
Redness or flaky skin in the nipple area or the breast.

What is a mammogram?
A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast. Doctors use a mammogram to look for early signs of breast cancer. Having mammograms regularly can lower your risk of dying from breast cancer. If you are 50 to 74 years old, be sure to have a screening mammogram every two years. If you are 40 to 49 years old, talk to your doctor about when and how often you should have a screening mammogram.
Why should I have a mammogram?
Regular mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, sometimes up to three years before it can be felt. When their breast cancer is found early, many women go on to live long and healthy lives.
Where can I go to get screened?
Most likely, you can get screened for breast cancer at a clinic, hospital, or doctor’s office. If you want to be screened for breast cancer, call your doctor’s office. They can help you schedule an appointment. Most health insurance companies pay for the cost of breast cancer screening tests.
How can I lower my risk of breast cancer?
Control your weight and exercise.
Know your family history of breast cancer. If you have a parent, sibling, son or daughter with breast cancer, ask your doctor about your risk of getting breast cancer and how you can lower your risk.
Find out the risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapy.
Limit the amount of alcohol you drink.
Limit the amount of carbohydrates you intake in a day.
Watch out for cancer causing foods.
Can men get breast cancer?
Men can also get breast cancer, but it is not very common. For every 100 cases of breast cancer, less than 1 is in men.
How many people get breast cancer each year?
In 2009 (the most recent year numbers are available)—
211,731 women and 2,001 men in the United States were diagnosed with breast cancer.*†
40,676 women and 400 men in the United States died from breast cancer.*†
*Incidence counts cover approximately 90% of the U.S. population; death counts cover approximately 100% of the U.S. population. Use caution when comparing incidence and death counts.

[Mugshot]Daytona Beach, Florida — On Sunday, September 29, 2013, at around 5 p.m. the Daytona Beach Police responded to a call involving sexual abuse.
A Daytona Beach police officer responded to an address and met with a woman who claimed that her daughter had been sexually abused by her neighbor.
The neighbor was identified as retired Volusia County Sheriff’s Deputy, Edward Lueck, 66, also known as “Rusty.” Lueck retired after 20 years with the Sheriff’s Office and neighbors say that is why they trusted him.
The mother of the 5-year-old girl learned that her daughter, over the course of approximately the last five months, was being subjected to unlawful sexual behavior at the hands of Lueck.
According to the mother, her daughter would sometimes visit Lueck at his residence next door.
The 5-year-old girl said that while she was inside his home, Lueck would on occasion force himself on her inside his bathroom.
Reports say that Lueck would touch the girl’s vagina with his tongue and sometimes he would digitally penetrate her as well.
The girl also stated that Lueck would force her to “suck his pee-pee” and said that his “juice” would come out, while she was seated in front of him on the bathroom toilet.
The victim and her mother were transported to be interviewed by Child Protection team Member, Lina Casper and Detective Deschamps.
The interview was audio and visually captured with the girl describing in detail to the unlawful actions perpetrated by Lueck inside his home on multiple occasions.
The girl told investigators that she was exposed to pornographic images on Lueck’s computer during some of her time inside his residence.
According to reports, after the interview was conducted the victim and her mother were transported so that the girl could be forensically examined by Dr. Bell in Deland. His report along with the sexual assault kit was entered into evidence and has yet to be released to the public.
Detectives then responded back to Lueck’s residence around 9 p.m., along with Officer Marcus Booth who was also present and placed Lueck under arrest without incident.
Lueck was informed of his charges by detectives and they asked Lueck’s permission for the removal of his computer from within his home for possible evidentiary purposes; Lueck advised detectives they could take his computer, which was later entered into evidence.
During Lueck’s first appearance the judge read his charges to him.
“You’re here on the charge of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation by a Person over the Age of 18 on someone under the Age of 12,” said the judge.
The assistant state attorney recommended a bond for Lueck of $200,000, however the judge raised that to $250,000.
This is an ongoing investigation and Ocala Post will make updates accordingly.

[Mugshot]Ocala, Florida — The sheriff’s office received two calls on Sunday, September 29, 2013 around 10:10 p.m. about a suspicious vehicle that was parked halfway in the road in the area of the 10300 block of SW 129th Terrace Road.
When deputy John Lightle arrived at the location, he observed a black 2009 four door Hyundai parked halfway in the street obscuring the flow of traffic with all of its lights off, according to reports.
The deputy approached the vehicle and discovered the driver identified as Karen Drake, 51, lying in the front seat. There were mounds of clothes and personal items inside the car, along with the woman’s dog sitting in the front passenger seat.
The deputy tapped on the window for several minutes trying to get the woman’s attention, but she appeared to be ignoring the deputy and would not acknowledge him after he announced himself, according to the deputy.
Finally, Drake opened the door and the deputy was greeted by a very strong odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle.
Drake told the deputy that she had been “kicked out” of her house and was homeless, living in her car.
According to the deputy, Drake’s speech was extremely slurred and her eyes were blood shot and watery.
The deputy also discovered that the woman was completely naked from the waist down. When the deputy asked her why she was not wearing any pants, she said that she had urinated on herself earlier.
The deputy then found some pants in the back seat and asked the woman to get dressed and returned to his vehicle to give her some privacy, the report said.
When asked how much she had to drink, Drake initially stated that she had not had any alcohol, but later advised the deputy that she had consumed two “fireball whiskey” shots.
Drake stated that she had vomited earlier in the evening in a public restroom, and had pulled over to the side of the road because she felt that she should not be driving.
The deputy reported that her car keys were within arm’s reach, near the center console.
He asked her if her vehicle had ran out of gas and she said, “No,” and the deputy asked her to confirm that by starting the engine, which she did.
Drake stated that she does take prescription narcotics, but had not taken any that day. She was asked to perform a field sobriety test, which she agreed to do.
During the exercises, Drake repeatedly lost her balance, started the test before the deputy was done giving directions, and stepped off the line.
On the walk and turn exercise, she only took a few steps before stating that she could not perform the exercise and then sat back down in her car, according to the deputy.
The deputy then advised Drake that she was under arrest for DUI, and she became uncooperative and briefly struggled with the deputy before he was able to secure her and place her in his patrol car.
When the deputy was performing an inventory search of her car he found an empty “boxed wine” box in the back seat.
Upon arriving at the jail, Drake refused to submit a breath test and stated that she needed to consult an attorney.
Records show that Drake has had one prior DUI.
She was booked into the Marion County Jail on one count of DUI Second Offense.
She has been released on a $2500 bond
The dog was placed in the custody of Marion County Animal Services.
