At approximately 10:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 6, 2013, three black male suspects forced their way into the Sonny’s BBQ Restaurant located at 5910 South Florida Avenue, Lakeland, just as the employees were attempting to close. The suspects forced employees to empty the contents of the safe and fled the restaurant in an unknown direction.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect One: Black male in his late 20’s early 30’s, approximately 6’0” tall with a heavy build (280-300 pounds), wearing black shirts covering his face and head, all black clothing, and armed with a black in color semi-automatic handgun.
Suspect Two: Black male in his mid to late 20’s, between 5’8” and 5’10” tall with a slender build (130-150 pounds), wearing black shirts covering his face and head, all black clothing, and armed with a black revolver.
Suspect Three: Black male between 17 to 23 years of age, between 5’7” and 5’9” tall with a slender build (130-150 pounds), wearing black shirts covering his face and head, all black clothing, and armed with a small, black in color semi-automatic handgun.
Suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous.
