Do you have your take-out food delivered to you? If you answered yes, you might want to think twice.
U.S Foods recently surveyed 500 delivery drivers with Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, and Postmates.
They were asked if they had ever eaten food that they were supposed to deliver to the customer.
A staggering 28 percent of the drivers admitted to sampling a customers food prior to delivering it. This number is on target since 21 percent of customers surveyed, approximately 1,500 adults, said they felt like some of their food had been eaten prior to delivery.
Now, customers who are still brave enough to have their food delivered are demanding tamperproof containers. However, business owners say this will drive up the cost of not only the meal but of the delivery service as well.
We want to hear from you. Have you had food delivered that you felt had been sampled?
ST. LOUIS – Police say that on July 27, a son made a gruesome discovery in his mother’s freezer.
The incident occurred in the 6000 block of Magnolia, St. Louis.
Adam Smith told police that his mother had just died. Following her death, he became curious and opened a package that had been stored in her freezer for 37 years — since Smith was a child.
Smith’s mother had always told him the wrapped package was none of his business. Over the years, Smith had come to believe the package was a wedding cake.
After his mother died, Smith became curious and decided to open the package, but nothing could have prepared him for what he found.
Police said Smith discovered that the package was not a wedding cake at all. Instead, when Smith opened the package he found a frozen baby.
The baby had been in the freezer for 37 years the police said.
The baby was wrapped in a pink baby blanket inside the wrapped box.
Police noted that the baby was fully preserved and had a full head of hair.
Smith said, “Who absolutely keeps their own child in a box for this long and never talks about it? I just have so many thoughts and it is just insane…I am distraught.”
Smith told police that he remembers that his mother once spoke about losing a child at birth. He said that he recently learned from a relative that [his] mother may have given birth to twins, but lost one at birth. The relative told Smith that she gave the other up for adoption.
Smith now believes that the baby could have been his sister and told police he is horrified at what his mother could have done to her.
Smith says that he wants answers but may never know the truth.
St. Louis police are now waiting on the results of an autopsy.
Newark, New Jersey — New Jersey radical Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal refuses to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and keeps NJ as a sanctuary state.
Since 2018, officials say Grewal absolutely will not require detention centers to adhere to ICE’s detainer list and releases illegal immigrant criminals back into the population.
Grewal has made it known to illegal immigrants seeking asylum in NJ, that they do not have to live in fear of being deported.
In doing so, he has indirectly caused the death of a 7-year-old boy in Egg Harbor City, NJ, officials said.
On July 10, Jorge Rodriguez-Saldana, 30, was driving a vehicle that struck a grandmother and her two grandchildren, killing the seven-year-old child and critically injuring the grandmother.
Rodriguez-Saldana is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. He did not have a drivers license or insurance.
Egg Harbor City police said, “Saldana should have never been behind the wheel of a car.”
Rodriguez-Saldana was arrested on July 11, and charged with Causing Death While Driving without a License (third-degree felony).
He was released from local custody on a summons following the incident. Law enforcement authorities in Atlantic County did not refer the case to ICE for review.
On July 13, 2019, Rodriguez-Saldana was arrested by ICE-ERO Newark Officers in Horsham, Pennsylvania for immigration violations as he was in the U.S. illegally.
“Unfortunately this is another example that makes apparent the significant public safety concerns the NJ AG Directive limiting cooperation with ICE poses,” said John Tsoukaris, field office director for ICE-ERO Newark. “Had it not been for the persistent, courageous and diligent efforts of ICE-ERO to track him down, this individual might have fled. We will continue to make public safety our highest priority despite dangerous state policies.”
Rodriguez-Saldana denies that he has declared NJ a sanctuary state. However, ICE officials say the AG has made his position very clear.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., is demanding the federal minimum wage be raised to $20 per hour.
She made the statement Sunday at an event in Detroit, one of the countries most crime-ridden cities.
The announcement immediately prompted mockery from conservative business owners and politicians.
Republicans said they will force mainline Democrats in the 2020 presidential race to address the issue in upcoming debates.
The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives passed a $15 federal minimum wage bill last week, however, it has little chance of passing the GOP-controlled Senate.
Republicans contend that if the federal minimum wage were to be raised to even $15 per hour that small businesses would close within months and the economy would be crippled.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she fully supports Tlaib’s demands.
Democratic presidential debates will be aired again on July 30 and 31.

Lake County — Inmates at the Lake Correctional Institution say they are in fear of their lives.
Inmates say that a recent video, which was allegedly recorded from inside the correctional facility on a contraband phone, shows how they are treated on a daily basis.
Family members of several of the inmates have stated that this type of abuse of power has been reported in the past, but goes unchecked.
In a YouTube comment, Sandra Jones, wrote, “This is how officers act when they are off camera, all the time. Then they portray to the public that they are upstanding citizens who uphold the law. All of these photo ops being posted on social media, showing corrections officers and police officers doing good deeds. Cops running their own media shows nowadays. But when the camera is off, this is what is happening. Not all the time, but a lot of the time. This is no different than an officer planting drugs on innocent people just for kicks. It does happen, you better believe it.”
Some comments were in favor of the corrections officers.
The video was uploaded to YouTube on Saturday. The video was allegedly recorded on July 8. It quickly spread over social media.
In the video, you can hear inmates say that the beating had been going on for five minutes before the recording started.
Officials said they do not actually know what took place before the inmate started recording, but an immediate investigation was launched by the Florida Department of Corrections when the video surfaced.
In an email to Ocala Post, FDOC spokeswoman Michelle Glady provided the following statement given by FDOC Secretary Mark Inch.
“This video is deeply disturbing. We have zero tolerance for officer abuse or misconduct for any reason. The actions of these individuals will not be tolerated. Our Office of Inspector General has launched an immediate investigation. All officers identified to be involved have been taken out of contact with inmates and will not be allowed to return to full duty until a thorough investigation has been completed. Those found participating in any level of abuse, or failing to properly report abuse, will be subject to administrative and criminal charges.”
Glady said, “The identities of the officers involved in this incident are confidential while the investigation is active.”
When asked the condition of the inmate, Glady said, “Federal HIPAA laws prevent the Department from releasing medical information (Medical, psychological, and dental records, 945.10(1)(a), 456.057(7)(a), F.S., 45 C.F.R., 164.502), however, the inmate was transported to an area hospital following the incident for outside medical evaluation. He was discharged and has been moved to another facility while the investigation is being conducted.”
Officials would not say if the phone had been recovered.
We want to hear from you. After watching the video, what do you think?
