Sheriff’s department detective rapes child, only gets 3 years

detective Neil Kimball, detective rapes girl, California, the daily lash
    Neil Kimball

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detective Neil Kimball, 45, who pleaded not guilty to raping a child and guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse in Ventura County in 2017, was only sentenced to three years in prison on August 8.

While working the girl’s sexual assault case for the elite Special Victims Bureau in 2017, Kimball befriended the 15-year-old.

During the sexual assault investigation, Kimball, himself, raped the girl.

The rape took place between October and December of 2017.

After nearly a year of investigating Kimball, he was finally arrested in November of 2018.

Prosecutors said there is a problematic, double standard for those who wear the badge in the United States.

“Knowing he raped her, this cop was allowed to walk free amongst the public while the girl lived in fear,” said prosecutors.

Even more absurd, the family said, is that Kimball was previously accused of sexual battery in a case that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute because they said they did not have enough evidence to prove that Kimball had committed a crime.

During the trial, family attorney Gloria Allred read the 15-year-old’s written statement: “I don’t understand why we live in a world where our most-trusted are the ones to turn and deceive you, to leave you hurt and hopeless. I have lost all faith in my county’s sheriff’s department, as well as the judicial system which is only giving this defendant the minimal sentence.”

Kimball must now register as a sex offender, have no contact with the victim, and pay the victim $50,000 for pain and suffering.

More than 300 of Kimball’s cases are now under review. The Department fears there may have been other victims.

Even more disturbing, for good behavior, Kimball was also granted credit for time served, which means he will be out of jail in less than two years.

Two-vehicle crash, tanker versus pickup truck

    14

OCALA — Ocala Police Department Lt. Dustin Keuntjes said that the driver of a Ford pickup managed to escape injury in a Sunday morning crash.

Ocala Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle collision with possible entrapment and fuel leak in the 3500 block of West Silver Springs Blvd after a pickup truck slammed into a fuel tanker.

Crews were dispatched to the truck versus tanker crash at approximately 11:41 a.m.

Tower 1, Engine 4, Rescue 4, Battalion Chief 22, and a Safety Officer, arrived to find a black Ford F-150 pick-up truck lodged beneath a fuel tanker.

When units arrived, they found that the tanker did not spill any fuel because it was empty, nor was either of the drivers injured.

According to a press release, OFR remained on scene until a class D wrecker arrived and was able to lift the fuel tanker off of the pick-up truck and clear the roadway.

FWC long-term investigation, fish and wildlife being sold on black market

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) investigation led to the arrests on Friday, Aug. 9, of three suspects in Levy and Pinellas counties for violating state laws pertaining to illegally harvesting and selling various fish and wildlife. Fifteen additional suspects were served with a notice to appear citations in Levy, Orange, Pinellas, and Broward counties.

As part of a long-term investigation initiated in May 2017, FWC investigators managed to engage with this group of associates to gain information and evidence. The suspects were taking deer out of season, alligators without licenses and permits, and protected gopher tortoises. During a closure in response to red tide, they illegally took snook, jeopardizing the fishery’s recovery.

“Organized criminal operations like this pose serious environmental and economic consequences,” said Col. Curtis Brown, head of FWC’s Division of Law Enforcement. “They damage our precious natural resources and create black markets that undermine the legal process. We do our best to put a stop to these crimes, supporting law-abiding business owners, landowners and those who enjoy recreating in Florida.”

“Many Floridians make their living in and around Florida’s waters, and when a group of individuals disregards the conservation efforts of so many, it’s encouraging to see the FWC and agency partners work hard to bring those individuals to justice,” said JD Dickenson, Coastal Conservation Association Florida chairman. “CCA Florida is proud of the hard work that FWC officers do in protecting the resources that we all enjoy.”

“As an advocate for sportsmen’s groups in Florida, I applaud FWC law enforcement for its efforts to protect our resources,” said Lane Stephens, a long-time lobbyist for hunting and fishing organizations in Florida.

There are still aspects of this investigation that are ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.

The suspects and their charges are as follows:

Governor signed unconstitutional law aimed at President Trump and voters

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, in a communist and politically motivated move, violated his oath of office and signed an unconstitutional law (Senate Bill 27) to prevent President Donald Trump’s name from appearing on the 2020 ballot.

Secretary of State Alex Padilla endorsed the bill.

Lawyers say this is not only unconstitutional but should infuriate every voter in the United States.

According to the new law, anyone who would appear on California’s presidential primary ballot must disclose their federal income tax returns.

Former California Gov. Jerry Brown shot down this bill in 2017.

Brown stated, “Although tax returns are by law confidential, many presidential candidates have voluntarily released them. This bill is a response to President Trump’s refusal to release his returns during the last election. While I recognize the political attractiveness-even the merits-of getting President Trump’s tax returns, I worry about the political perils of individual states seeking to regulate presidential elections in this manner. First, it may not be constitutional. Second, it sets a ‘slippery slope’ precedent. Today we require tax returns, but what would be next? Five years of health records?”

Brown also refused to release his own tax returns when he was elected Governor.

In 2016, Bernie Sanders refused to release his tax returns to the public, citing it was none of their business. He later released his returns when he was criticized for being a hypocrite and bashing Trump for not releasing his.

Newsom, who refers to himself as the “resistance leader” against Trump, released his tax returns when he was elected.

Senator Brian Jones, said, “I get that playing the resistance card might be good politics for the majority party (Referring to Democrats), but I would submit that it’s bad policy for Californians.”

The law is not just bad for Californians, it is bad for every voter in the U.S. If the law stays, those same 4-million-plus voters in California who voted for Trump in the 2016 election would not be allowed to vote again. This would directly impact the entire election.

The GOP says that the Democrats will stop at nothing, no matter what the cost or what laws are broken, to secure the election.

On July 30, Judicial Watch filed a complaint in the Eastern District of California in Sacramento. On August 5, Judicial Watch announced it is seeking an injunction to stop the new law.

The injunction is being filed on behalf of several California voters who were less than thrilled about the law, and that is putting it nicely.

“The state of California’s attempt to circumvent the Constitution will be answered in court,” Trump’s attorney, Jay Sekulow, said.

Voters turned to social media and referred to Newsom as communist-socialist who is violating the U.S constitution for his own political agenda.

On August 6, María Guadalupe, wrote, “This is something Hitler would have done. I came to America legally and became a citizen I learned English and how to write English and I have the right to vote. I proudly voted for Mr. Trump. I earned the right to vote, I want to vote again. People on the left as you say call Trump racist. As a Mexican citizen of the United States, the only racism I see is spilling from the mouths of the women democrats I see on the television all the time and on Fb. They do nothing to help our communities. My family loves our president. I can only hope people will help this stop and I can vote.”

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, said, “We have a general concern that is broader than the concern of a particular candidate, this is part of a pattern of government officials (Democrats) abusing their powers to harass President Trump.”

Legal experts say they do not believe the bill will hold up in court because it is, in fact, unconstitutional. They say the bill should be an embarrassment to Californians who support Trump and that, all voters should be outraged.

On social media, other groups say they want Newsom removed from office due to the fact he arrogantly abused his power and deliberately violated his oath as an elected official. Watch groups say they are surveying their course of action.

Californians have also accused Newsom of using Hispanic and black communities as political pawns.

ICE raids businesses and detains hundreds of illegal immigrants

JACKSON, Miss. – In July, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) announced that they delivered more than 5,200 audit notices to businesses across the U.S.

On August 7, ICE announced that they had severed warrants at businesses in Mississippi.

ICE and HSI executed multiple federal criminal search warrants at seven agricultural processing plants across Mississippi Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing HSI worksite enforcement criminal investigation.

In addition to executing federal search warrants and seizing business records pertaining to the ongoing federal criminal investigation, deportation officers with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in partnership with HSI detained approximately 680 removable illegal immigrants who were unlawfully working at the plants.

All the unlawfully present foreign nationals arrested Wednesday are being interviewed by ICE staff to record any potential mitigating humanitarian situations. Based on these interviews, and consideration of their criminality and prior immigration history, ICE is determining on a case-by-case basis based on the totality of the circumstances which individuals will be detained and which persons may be released from custody at present. In all cases, all the illegal aliens encountered as part of this operation are either being placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts and for those who already received due process and have been ordered removed, processed for removal from the U.S.

A 24-hour toll-free hotline is available for family members of those arrested in this operation to address questions about their detention location and status and the removal process. This hotline operates in English and Spanish; the phone number is 1-855-479-0502.

This HSI-led operation was conducted in coordination with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi, of which U.S. Attorney D. Michael Hurst Jr. will prosecute any resulting federal criminal charges.

HSI is the federal law enforcement agency responsible for upholding the laws established by the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), which requires employers to verify the identity and work eligibility of individuals they hire. These laws help protect jobs for U.S. citizens and lawful U.S. residents, eliminate unfair competitive advantages for companies that unlawfully hire an illegal workforce, and strengthen public safety and national security.

Unauthorized workers often use stolen identities of legal U.S. workers, which can profoundly damage for years the identity-theft victim’s credit, medical records and other aspects of their everyday life.

HSI’s worksite enforcement investigators help combat worker exploitation, illegal wages, child labor, and other illegal practices. Worksite enforcement investigations often involve additional criminal activity, such as alien smuggling, human trafficking, money laundering, document fraud, worker exploitation and/or substandard wage and working conditions.

In addition to worksite enforcement operations like this one, HSI also uses I-9 audits to create a culture of compliance among employers. In July 2018, ICE announced a two-phase operation under this effort.

DOH-Marion conducted an epidemiological investigation and today determined an individual who worked at Charlie Horse Restaurant and Lounge, located at 2426 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470, during July 18 to Aug. 1 may have been infectious.

Those who consumed food or beverage between July 18 and July 23 should instead observe for signs and symptoms of hepatitis A infection. This includes sudden onset of abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, fever, diarrhea, pale white stools, or yellow skin and eyes (jaundice). Anyone experiencing these symptoms should promptly seek medical attention.

If you previously have received the hepatitis A vaccine or have had a past history of a hepatitis A infection, you are considered immune to the hepatitis A virus and do not need to take additional action.

Those with specific questions about exposure to hepatitis A at Charlie Horse Restaurant and Lounge can call 352-644-2633 to reach the DOH-Marion Epidemiology staff.

DOH-Marion is encouraging all healthcare providers, including hospital emergency departments, to stay on high alert and immediately report cases of hepatitis A to DOH-Marion, as well as identify those who would benefit from vaccination.

Contact your county’s health department for hepatitis A vaccinations if you live outside Marion County. Vaccination is the best way to prevent hepatitis A. People who should be vaccinated for hepatitis A include:

DOH-Marion continues to offer the hepatitis A vaccine at no cost and without an appointment at its Ocala office, located at 1801 SE 32nd Ave., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Residents also can get vaccinated for hepatitis A for free at the following locations and times:

    • · Saturday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Florida Department of Health in Marion County (1801 SE 32nd Ave., Ocala)
    • · Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Horizon Academy (365 Marion Oaks Drive, Ocala)

    What is Hepatitis A?

Hepatitis A is a highly contagious disease that attacks the liver. People infected with hepatitis A are most contagious from two weeks before the onset of symptoms to one week afterwards. Not everyone who is infected will have all the symptoms. Symptoms usually start within 28 days of exposure to the virus, with a range of 15 to 50 days. Symptoms can include:

    •   Jaundice (yellowing skin and whites of eyes)
      • Fever
      • Diarrhea
      • Fatigue/tired
      • Loss of appetite
      • Nausea and vomiting
      • Stomach pain
      • Dark-colored urine
      • Pale or clay-colored stool

How is hepatitis A treated or hepatitis A infection prevented?

Hepatitis A vaccine is the best method of preventing infection. People who are exposed to hepatitis A may be given a vaccine or immune globulin within 14 days of exposure to prevent infection. No medicines can cure the disease once symptoms appear.

People with hepatitis A symptoms should seek medical care immediately. Most people get better over time but may need to be hospitalized.

Previous infection with hepatitis A provides immunity for the rest of a person’s life.

Ocala, Florida — Assistant State Attorney Rich Buxman says that the trial for the man suspected of killing jiffy store clerk Ujjval “Rocky” Patel, 33, should begin in September.

The shooting occurred during an attempted robbery on  April 22, 2016, at the Jiffy Food Store, located at 2425 Northwest 10th Street, Ocala.

At that time, detectives said that at approximately 9:50 a.m., a black male armed with a handgun entered the store, jumped over the counter, scuffled with Patel, and then shot him in the head.

    Patel died at the scene.

The shooter fled the scene empty-handed.

The suspect was described as wielding a silver and black semi‐automatic handgun.

On April 29, 2016, Ocala Police Department detectives named Keon’dre Demerio Duncan, then 19, as the primary suspect in the shooting. OPD quickly sent out a bulletin to the media.

An arrest warrant was issued, and on January 20, 2017, Duncan was taken into custody at the Paddock Mall during a traffic stop. Duncan was a passenger in the vehicle that an Ocala police officer had stopped.

Duncan, now 21, has been behind bars at the Marion County jail since that time. He is charged with First-degree Murder with a Firearm.

Duncan had a previous arrest on January 25, 2016, and was charged with Battery on a School Official at Vanguard High School.

Democratic presidential candidates attack gun rights, blame President Trump for El Paso shooting

    By Rebecca Long/The Daily Lash

On MSNBC, Democratic presidential candidates Beto O’Rourke, U.S. Sen. Cory Booker,  and Sen. Kamala Devi Harris blatantly blamed President Donald Trump for the shooting that left 20 people dead in El Paso, Texas.

The shooter, who was identified as 21-year-old Patrick Crusius of Allen, Texas, allegedly posted a white nationalist manifesto online prior to the attack. The manifesto allegedly directly mentions Mexicans who are in the U.S illegally.

The shooting, thus far, has been labeled as a hate crime.

O’Rourke says that Crusius pulled the trigger because of Trump’s “rhetoric.”

During an interview, former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro, told Fox News, “There’s one person that’s responsible directly for Saturday’s shooting in El Paso, Texas…and that’s the shooter.”

In a separate interview, Castro said, “Only the shooter bears “direct” responsibility. These shooters are ultimately to blame for their actions.”

All three presidential candidates accused Trump of embracing white nationalism, essentially accusing him of being a racist because he wants to, as Trumps says, follow U.S law, and deport illegal immigrants.

During his interview with MSNBC, when addressing illegal immigrants, O’Rourke leaves out the term “illegal.” He told MSNBC that illegal immigrants commit fewer crimes than U.S citizens. However, according to law enforcement officials, his claims are false.

According to ICE, in 2015, of the 235,413 illegal immigrants that were actually captured and arrested, more than 59 percent of them had criminal backgrounds. Homeland Security says that this figure is only based on those who were captured and deported, so the number could be much higher. Most of those who were deported were detected because the reoffended while in the U.S illegally.

Additionally, illegal immigrants drive illegally…no car insurance and no drivers license. Meaning, if they cause an accident, the other driver has no legal recourse. Law enforcement officials nationwide report that majority of all illegal immigrants who cause an accident flees the scene if they are able to.

O’Rourke says that El Paso is mostly made up of “immigrants.” He says that El Paso is one of the safest cities in the nation. What he neglects to mention is that, according to The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Texas is 18th in the U.S for the most strongly armed. El Paso is also open carry. The city is safe, not because they have ceased the sale of firearms, but because every other citizen is armed and willing to protect themselves. Therefore, it is just the opposite of his statement that guns cause violence. According to research, the crime rate is low because criminals know the likelihood of being shot by a law-abiding citizen is extremely high.

O’Rourke, Booker, and Harris all told MSNBC that all sales of “weapons of war” must be stopped.

Booker claims that states that have strict gun laws or prohibit the sale of guns are much safer. Again, his statement is completely false and opposite of the truth. After all, Booker is from New Jersey, a state dubbed the cesspool of the U.S. A state overridden with violent crime and drugs, yet has strict gun laws.

Harris is from California. A state with ridiculously strict gun laws, yet the state is one of the worst in the nation for violent crimes committed with guns. Ironically, the bankrupt state is also overridden with illegal immigrants.

The President has said many times, you cannot keep guns out of the hands of criminals…they do not follow the law.

Oddly enough, all three candidates insist that states with strict gun laws are the best place to raise a family. Even odder, New Jersey and California, two states with strict gun laws, are in the top 20 for worst places to raise a family.

The Department Of Justice conducted a massive survey among convicted felons. The survey asked: What deterred criminals more, armed victims or the police? The results were stunning. The majority said they are not scared of the police at all. More than 57 percent of felons polled that criminals are more worried about confronting an armed victim than they are about the police.

Researcher Gary Kleck proved that 92 percent of criminal attacks are deterred when a gun is presented by the victim or in plain sight to criminals, without a shot ever having to be fired. Open carry has been proven time and time again to deter crime. States that have open carry such as Alaska, have an extremely low crime rate.

The gun debate is not anything new. It has been in the spotlight since the early ’80s. In 1982, Atlanta suburb Kennesaw passed an ordinance that required all households to have a gun. You read correctly, it was a requirement. The residential burglary rate subsequently dropped 89 percent in Kennesaw, compared to the modest 10.4 percent drop in Georgia as a whole.

Thirty years later, the residential burglary rate in Kennesaw is still 72 percent lower than before the ordinance was passed. Proving that when criminals know a citizen is armed, they will not proceed. It mirrors that old joke, “criminals will never rob a doughnut shop because that’s where all the cops are.”

Democrats immediately politicized the El Paso tragedy.

Immediately following the El Paso shooting, a reporter asked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott about stricter gun laws.

Gov. Abbott said, “Listen, there are bodies that have not yet been recovered. I think we need to focus on memorials before we start the politics.”

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick explicitly warned the left-wing group ANTIFA, backed by Democrats, against coming to the state following the mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart. He warned that there would be extreme consequences for any left-wing group member who attempts to cause havoc in El Paso.

Lt. Gov. Patrick then corrected himself on ANTIFA staying out of El Paso, and stated, “actually, stay out of Texas.”

President Trump is expected to address the nation on Monday.

20 people dead and 26 others injured in El Paso, Texas shooting, Democrats immediately politicize the tragedy

El Paso, Texas — A gunman killed 20 people and injured 26 others Saturday after he opened fire at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.

“Texas grieves with the people of El Paso today,” said Gov. Greg Abbott at an evening news conference following the deadliest mass shooting in America since a gunman killed 26 people at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas on Nov. 5, 2017.

The suspected gunman has been identified as 21-year-old Patrick Crusius of Allen, Texas.

    Patrick Crusius

Officials say he was taken into custody without incident.

Sadly, Democrats immediately used the tragedy for political gain. Anti-American socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and Bernie Sanders immediately released statements, pushing their agenda for gun control.

Every Democratic presidential candidate jumped on the political bandwagon and the public quickly took notice.

One reader, Layla Gonini, wrote,  “While 20 bodies still lie on the WalMart floor, Democrats are quickest to politicize the tragedy in El Paso. Disgusting‼️”

People have barely had time to comprehend this tragedy, while Democrats are seemingly worried about elections stats.

Gov. Greg Abbott said, “Listen, there are bodies that have not yet been recovered. I think we need to focus on memorials before we start the politics.”

Information on this tragedy is still coming in as investigators comb through all of the evidence.

WASHINGTON – Deportation officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) removed a man wanted for aggravated homicide in El Salvador.

Alvaro Johel Angel departed the United States via an ICE Air Operations (IAO) charter July 31 and was transferred to Salvadoran law enforcement upon arrival in San Salvador.

“Our officers remain focused on ensuring that our efforts target fugitives from justice, both here and abroad,” said Lyle A. Boelens, acting field office director. “We will continue to deny fugitives the opportunity to evade the justice systems of our international partners by hiding unlawfully in the United States.”

Angel entered the United States at an unknown location without being admitted or paroled by an immigration officer. On April 1, 2019, the Government of El Salvador issued an arrest warrant for Angel for aggravated homicide.

On May 10, ERO officers with the Washington field office arrested Angel in Alexandria, Virginia and served him a notice to appear in immigration court. An immigration judge ordered Angel removed to El Salvador July 9.

Umatilla man dies in fatal crash

Umatilla, Florida — A Umatilla man was killed Friday after the 1987 Toyota Camry he was driving slammed into a large concrete utility pole.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say that Mark Vaningan, 61, was traveling east on County Road 42 when he attempted to navigate a curve to the left. As Vaningan went into the curve, he swerved right and onto the south grass shoulder, at which time he overcorrected and veered back into the roadway.

Troopers say Vaningan then began to rotate counter-clockwise, veered further left onto the north grass shoulder, and down a steep embankment.  At that time, the Camry flipped and the roof of the vehicle slammed into the concrete utility pole.

Marion County Fire Rescue had to “peel” back the roof and cut the doors on Vaningan’s Camry in order to remove his body.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Troopers said that Vaningan was only a few miles from his home.

Cat declawing could be banned in Florida

    declawing, florida, cats, ocala post

Florida — Democratic Senator Lauren Book has introduced a bill that would ban the declawing cats in Florida, unless medically necessary.

Like New York, if the bill is passed, veterinarians would face a $1,000 fine if they declaw a cat without having a medically necessary reason.

Medically necessary reasons would be if the cat has an illness, infection, disease, injury or an abnormal condition.

Experts feel that if the bill is passed it would lead to fewer cat adoptions and more indoor cats that might destroy furniture being abandoned.

PETA says they want the ban. They said that cat declawing is barbaric and should be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

We want to hear from you. What do you think about the bill?

Drivers for popular take-out delivery services admit to what many have suspected

uber eats, grubhub, food delivery services,

Do you have your take-out food delivered to you? If you answered yes, you might want to think twice.

U.S Foods recently surveyed 500 delivery drivers with Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, and Postmates.

They were asked if they had ever eaten food that they were supposed to deliver to the customer.

A staggering 28 percent of the drivers admitted to sampling a customers food prior to delivering it. This number is on target since 21 percent of customers surveyed, approximately 1,500 adults, said they felt like some of their food had been eaten prior to delivery.

Now, customers who are still brave enough to have their food delivered are demanding tamperproof containers. However, business owners say this will drive up the cost of not only the meal but of the delivery service as well.

We want to hear from you. Have you had food delivered that you felt had been sampled?

Man makes gruesome discovery in his mother’s freezer

baby in freezer, the daily lash, infant death, frozen baby

ST. LOUIS – Police say that on July 27, a son made a gruesome discovery in his mother’s freezer.

The incident occurred in the 6000 block of Magnolia, St. Louis.

Adam Smith told police that his mother had just died. Following her death, he became curious and opened a package that had been stored in her freezer for 37 years — since Smith was a child.

Smith’s mother had always told him the wrapped package was none of his business. Over the years, Smith had come to believe the package was a wedding cake.

After his mother died, Smith became curious and decided to open the package, but nothing could have prepared him for what he found.

Police said Smith discovered that the package was not a wedding cake at all. Instead, when Smith opened the package he found a frozen baby.

The baby had been in the freezer for 37 years the police said.

The baby was wrapped in a pink baby blanket inside the wrapped box.

Police noted that the baby was fully preserved and had a full head of hair.

Smith said, “Who absolutely keeps their own child in a box for this long and never talks about it? I just have so many thoughts and it is just insane…I am distraught.”

Smith told police that he remembers that his mother once spoke about losing a child at birth. He said that he recently learned from a relative that [his] mother may have given birth to twins, but lost one at birth. The relative told Smith that she gave the other up for adoption.

Smith now believes that the baby could have been his sister and told police he is horrified at what his mother could have done to her.

Smith says that he wants answers but may never know the truth.

St. Louis police are now waiting on the results of an autopsy.

Attorney General keeps NJ as sanctuary state, illegal immigrant kills 7-year-old in crash

    Gurbir S. Grewal

Newark, New Jersey — New Jersey radical Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal refuses to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and keeps NJ as a sanctuary state.

Since 2018, officials say Grewal absolutely will not require detention centers to adhere to ICE’s detainer list and releases illegal immigrant criminals back into the population.

Grewal has made it known to illegal immigrants seeking asylum in NJ, that they do not have to live in fear of being deported.

In doing so, he has indirectly caused the death of a 7-year-old boy in Egg Harbor City, NJ, officials said.

On July 10, Jorge Rodriguez-Saldana, 30, was driving a vehicle that struck a grandmother and her two grandchildren, killing the seven-year-old child and critically injuring the grandmother.

Rodriguez-Saldana is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. He did not have a drivers license or insurance.

Egg Harbor City police said, “Saldana should have never been behind the wheel of a car.”

Rodriguez-Saldana was arrested on July 11, and charged with Causing Death While Driving without a License (third-degree felony).

He was released from local custody on a summons following the incident. Law enforcement authorities in Atlantic County did not refer the case to ICE for review.

On July 13, 2019, Rodriguez-Saldana was arrested by ICE-ERO Newark Officers in Horsham, Pennsylvania for immigration violations as he was in the U.S. illegally.

“Unfortunately this is another example that makes apparent the significant public safety concerns the NJ AG Directive limiting cooperation with ICE poses,” said John Tsoukaris, field office director for ICE-ERO Newark. “Had it not been for the persistent, courageous and diligent efforts of ICE-ERO to track him down, this individual might have fled. We will continue to make public safety our highest priority despite dangerous state policies.”

Rodriguez-Saldana denies that he has declared NJ a sanctuary state. However, ICE officials say the AG has made his position very clear.
