Ocala, Florida — A Parkside Apartments resident was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon after she threatened to kill her boyfriend with a knife.

Ocala Police Department Officer Jason Rodriguez said when he arrived at the apartment complex, he made contact with a male victim who identified his girlfriend, Kacey K. Smith, 21, as the suspect.

The victim stated that Smith also put the knife to his neck.

The victim told Officer Rodriguez that when he retreated to a bedroom and closed the door, Smith started violently stabbing the door.

The victim’s mother told the officer that she heard smith screaming over the phone, and threatening to kill her son.

Two other witnesses in the area told the officer that they had also seen Smith with a knife.

Smith denied any wrongdoing.

She was released from the Marion County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
