Gregory Marshal Pierce [Mugshot]
Ocala, Florida — Today, March 5, 2014, Gregory Marshal Pierce, 37, of Ocala, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Grand Theft and Dealing in Stolen Property.

The investigation started February 23, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church of Ocala.

Victims and witnesses told Marion County Sheriff’s Office investigators that between 12:30 p.m. and 5
p.m. on that day, someone stole a $15,000 saxophone, a $200 microphone and an $8,000 violin. The microphone was attached to the violin.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives discovered the instruments and microphone were recently pawned by Pierce for $30.

On March 4, 2014 detectives were able to track Pierce down. During an interview Pierce said “I went to the church to ask for help and was
locked in the church and saw the saxophone and the violin on the stage and took them.”

Pierce said, “After I stole the property I went straight to the pawn shop to sell everything.”

Pierce was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail. His bond was set at $9,000.
