Two cleaning service maids arrested

Ocala, Florida — Ocala Police Department police officers say they arrested two maids after a victim was notified by her bank about several suspicious transactions.

The victim told police that she had hired two women from Merry Maids cleaning service to clean her home.

The two 24-year-old women were later identified as Nichole Blanchard and Brittany Moore.

According to reports, the maids stole the victim’s credit card and then used it at Golden Coral, Tuffy of Ocala, a Circle K, a McDonalds, a Citgo, and Doc of Rock.

The manager of Doc or Rock told police that the two women, who were wearing Merry Maids uniforms, attempted to use the victim’s credit card three times. The manager stated that one of the women presented a passport as identification, which had also been stolen from the victim.

Blanchard and Moore were arrested and each charged with Fraud-Illegal Use of a Credit Card, Petit Theft, Fraud-Impersonate/Use ID of Another Person (x5).

Both women were released from jail on a $12,000 bond.

A spokesperson for Merry Maids said that they take these matters very seriously and that, Blanchard and Moore were immediately terminated from the company.
